Cinematography: Composition, Color, Light and Shadow

1. The change of light and shade reflects the sense of hierarchy: for example, it is brightest in the distance, slightly darker in the middle and darkest near.

First, composition

Vanishing point: it is not only a point in the picture, but also a perspective phenomenon that lines disappear from near to far in a certain place in the picture. The total vanishing point disappears on the horizon. The advantage is that it brings perspective, three-dimensional sense and realism.

The central composition highlights the main body.

Using vanishing point, on the one hand, we should make use of its depth of field and three-dimensional sense, on the other hand, we should cooperate with the theme.

Second, light and shadow

The silhouette of the character appears in the brightest area of the picture, so pay attention to the outline of the character.

The side light needs a soft light source to wrap the character, and the background far away from the character needs to be darker than the character.

Third, color.

Monochrome screen: saturation varies with brightness, with high saturation in the bright part and low saturation in the dark part.

Complementary colors: two corresponding colors are replaced by colors. The collocation and distribution of colors are very important. How to use complementary colors depends on the artistic conception and content of the work.

Four. form and content

Form should be related to content to produce an echo.

Brightness and transparency are interrelated.
