What is landscape design?

The so-called landscape design refers to a new building design method. When designing a building, this method first predicts and evaluates the impact of the building on people and the surrounding environment, and at the same time tries to coordinate the building with the surrounding environment so that it can adapt to the changes of the social environment in the future. On the basis of respecting local history and culture, the layout, shape and color of buildings are considered.

In the past, when designing a building, we only paid attention to its function and safety. As for the coordination with the surrounding environment, it was not paid attention to because of the limitation of economic conditions. In recent years, with the improvement of social requirements for the design of public tall buildings, landscape design has become more and more important. At present, western European countries are actively introducing landscape design ideas adapted to the local environment.

when arranging power facilities, it is not only limited to engineering purposes and environmental protection, but also efforts should be made to coordinate them with the surrounding environment and make a design consistent with the local environment. For example, the layout, shape and color of power plants, chimneys and urban substations should be in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The main methods of landscape prediction are: (1) perspective method; (2) photographic image processing; (3) photo and computer graphics processing; (4) still painting; (5) animation; (6) Virtual objects, etc.

The evaluation of landscape design is an abstract matter, which is based on personal subjective will. It is hard to imagine that it can be quantitatively evaluated. It is lack of objectivity to evaluate large-scale public facilities according to personal subjective feelings, and only statistical evaluation methods can fully explain the evaluated buildings. This statistical evaluation method mainly uses computers to process data and conduct numerical analysis.

in order to establish the evaluation method of landscape design, it needs to be comprehensively considered from the aspects of physiology, ethnology and humanities.
