As a new media, although digital has developed rapidly in replacing film, it is actually not mature enough. Its related theories, attitudes, values and social significance are not perfect, so it is not enough to completely replace movies, but it is considered that they are two different media.

Although the highest resolution of digital has reached 7K, the lens can't meet even the detailed requirements of 6K. At the same time, the popularity of 4K also shows that the root of digital development is more inclined to business. Although digital technology is developing rapidly, more and more films are made by digital technology, but we find that the proportion of works that can sublimate film art is decreasing, which is undoubtedly the main reason why many Hollywood directors still desperately support film production and film dignity in such a commercialized and digital era.
