If you don't pay attention to the lighting, the shadows will be messy and unsightly; Product photography can use multi-angle lighting to balance light and create suitable shadows.

If you use non-white light to shoot, you must first adjust the white balance. In addition, the intensity of light should be uniform. If strong light enters the mirror, lens glare will appear. Therefore, it is very important to master the light, neither too bright nor too dark. Try to avoid using lamps, because lamps do not emit light continuously. If you use a faster shutter, there may be a flash problem. It is recommended to use flash or LED lights.

Generally, this kind of lamp tube is not continuous light, so it should be adjusted to a slower shutter or tungsten lamp tube.

3. Make good use of shooting tools

You don't have to use a SLR when making photos of online products, because the web page will compress the photos. We recommend using advanced DC, because they usually come with flash hot boots and PASM mode can be customized. Of course, if you want better results, you'd better use a SLR.

The entry-level SLR is more than enough! Because 24MP is more than enough for many amateur jobs. Regarding the lens, taking 135 as an example, it is better to shoot with 80- 105 mm, and if APS-C format is used, it is better to shoot around 60-80 mm.

About shooting mode

We suggest using aperture priority mode, because it is the easiest to control the depth of field, and you can also adjust the aperture according to the intensity of the light used. Because the light of general desk lamps is direct, we should use butter paper to soften the light, so as to make the light of irradiated products more uniform. Sensitivity should also be adjusted to a minimum to avoid excessive noise and affect the appearance of the product.

Although the desk lamp has been set, the light at home is much weaker than that in the photo studio. Anyone familiar with photography will know that if the light is not enough, you should use a slower shutter. We need a stable tripod to prevent vibration during shooting.

Make a light box

The main reason for making light boxes is to provide a clean background for products. Cardboards with different colors can be made into multicolor backgrounds, which makes the styles of products more changeable. In addition, because both sides of the light box are transparent and covered with butter paper, it not only provides good light for the product, but also plays a role in softening light.

Required materials: foam board, two lamp clips, clips, A3 white paper/black and white cardboard, butter paper, adhesive tape and knife.

Step 1: evenly divide the foam board into three parts and open it in half with a knife. Be careful in the process so as not to wear the foam board.

Step 2: cut a rectangle between the left and right sides. The cut rectangle can be kept, pasted with tin foil, and slightly reflective.

Step 3: Stick butter paper on the empty space on both sides and tape it to make it transparent.

Step 4: clamp lights on both sides of the table and adjust the shooting angle.

Step 5: Add background to the light box, prepare white or black cardboard /A4 paper and clip it on the light box.

Step 6: Get the tripod ready, adjust the camera settings and start shooting.
