Strengthen media literacy education for teenagers. The survey found that some primary and secondary schools and universities in China have been exploring media literacy education. For example, Guangzhou Children's Palace explores the development mode of media literacy integration, and integrates media literacy education with school disciplines, campus community activities, Young Pioneers activities, and home-school interaction.
On 20 13, a series of media literacy teaching materials for primary school students, parent-child readers and teachers were launched. In 20 17, the textbook Media Literacy (a book for primary school students) was listed in the catalogue of local curriculum textbooks in Guangdong Province, becoming the first media literacy textbook in China to enter the provincial local curriculum system.
There are also many colleges and universities actively exploring the practice of media literacy education for teenagers. Yao Zheng, vice president of Zhejiang Media College, introduced that the school has established media literacy education practice bases in 15 primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang, Sichuan, Gansu and other regions, with nearly 1,000 college students participating in teaching and more than 10,000 primary and secondary school students receiving curriculum education.
Southwest University integrates college students' media literacy education into the first and second classrooms of the school, offering compulsory and elective courses related to media literacy, and also promoting students' media literacy through media literacy competitions, online cultural festivals and youth media forums.
At the same time, we cooperate with government departments, news media and Internet companies. Conduct visits, exchanges, internships, etc. Expand the practical training platform for college students' media literacy. However, the above problems in the exploration of media literacy education, such as the shortage of teachers and worrying sustainability, need to be solved urgently through long-term education planning.
