How does the subject move slowly and the background moves quickly?

For example, if you shoot a moving car, the camera lens is aimed at the car, and the shutter is set to a slow shutter. At the moment when the shutter is pressed, the lens swings in parallel with the driving direction at a constant speed. In this way, the car you shot is clear, but the background is fuzzy, which should be what you call "soon". ? This is the legendary panning.

panning is a technique that uses a slow shutter to track the shooting of the subject. That is to say, set the shutter speed to a slow shutter when shooting, and then shake the lens with the subject. Follow the moving direction of the subject, and make the camera move in a horizontal arc along its own rotation axis perpendicular to the horizontal plane-from left to right or from right to left. There are several points to pay attention to in panning.

first, set the camera to TV (shutter priority) mode. Depending on the speed of the car being photographed, the shutter speed is generally between 1/15th and 1/25s. The faster the car is moving, the faster the shutter speed will be.

second, aim the camera at the place where the car will pass in advance and fix it.

Third, use the continuous shooting function of the camera to shoot continuously with the subject.

when panning in the daytime, you also need to use the ND filter. Although the light is quite sufficient, it is necessary to minimize the aperture because the shutter speed is reduced to about 1/3s. If the aperture has been minimized, but the amount of light is still higher than the normal exposure value, then the photos will be overexposed. Therefore, when panning during the day, it is necessary to install an ND filter on the camera to reduce the amount of light. In panning, the photographer needs to pay attention to the speed of the shutter. The most important thing is the relative speed between the subject and the background, which is completely different according to the different perspective of the lens and the background. When shooting fast-moving subjects, we should increase the shutter speed; When shooting a slow-moving subject, it is necessary to lower the shutter speed, but when the shutter speed is lower than 1/15s, it is impossible to obtain obvious panning effect. If the subject is a person, the action behavior of the person will blur the subject itself. On the contrary, if the shutter speed is too fast, faster than 1/125s, the panning effect of the photo background will be greatly weakened. And the simpler the background, the less obvious the panning effect is. Therefore, when panning, you should choose the subject with a complicated background as much as possible.
