Guangzhou is a good place for Chinese New Year.

Beijing Road Millennium Ancient Road Site 1

Beijing Road, located in the center of Guangzhou, is the earliest place established in Guangzhou in history. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, Guangzhou was called Panyu City because there were two mountains, namely Fanshan and Yushan. Fanshan Mountain is located in the hilly area of "Jiu Si Pavilion" on the north side of the former site of Zhongshan Library on Wende Road. Fanshan Mountain was originally very high, but it was razed due to the expansion of Guangzhou city in the Southern Han Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty, Jiu Si Pavilion was built next to this mountain, and was later renamed Fanshan Pavilion, which is still there today. Yushan is west of Beijing Road and east of Ma Xiao Station, between Xihu Road and Yuexiu Shuyuan Street. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, it was razed to the ground when the city was opened in 907.
