Laoshan Mountain in Qingdao is full of interest because of its unique scenery and long human history. Visitors can feel Laozi's Dojo, the mountains by the sea and the natural landscape here. So what are the scenic spots that must be visited when traveling to Laoshan Mountain?

Laoshan Mountain has Taiqing Tourist Area, Jufeng Tourist Area, Huayan Tourist Area, Yangkou Tourist Area and Jiushui Tourist Area.

1. Taiqing tourist area

The main scenic spots in Taiqing Tourist Area are Taiqing Palace, Mingxia Cave, Shangqing Palace and Longtan Waterfall. Laoshan Mountain is famous for its Fairy Mountain, and Taiqing Tourist Area is also the core of Taoist culture and the birthplace of Fairy Mountain. The focus of Laiqing tourist area lies in Taoist culture, and there are many ancient and famous trees. In the scenic spot, you can hear myths, legends and anecdotes, observe cultural relics and historical sites and taste vicissitudes of life.

Tour route:-Longtan Waterfall, Bashuihe Square,-Shangqing Palace,-Mingxia Cave,-Taiqing Cableway (or on foot),-Taiqing Palace (or vice versa), and the tour time is about four hours.

Taiqing Palace Tourist Area has three major tourist areas: Bashuihe District, Taiqing Palace District and Maritime Tourist Area.

2. Jufeng Tourist Area

Giant Peak, commonly known as "Laoding", is1133m above sea level. It is the highest peak on the coastline of Chinese mainland 18000 km, with one mountain and one sea, and everything is renewed. There is a sightseeing road around the giant peak at an altitude of 800-900 meters. Standing on most sections, you can overlook the sea and see the sky and the sea. There are eight mountain gates named after the Eight Diagrams of the Book of Changes on the highway around the city, which correspond to the eight mountain passes around, and are a wonderful combination of the great creation of nature and the ancient sage thought. Laoshan Giant Peak is the best choice for climbing and praying.

To visit Jufeng, you must take the sightseeing bus up the mountain, and the self-driving car should be parked in the parking lot of Laoshan Tourist Service Center. After sightseeing bus, there are two ways to climb the mountain, one is by cableway and the other is on foot. This journey takes about ten minutes by cableway and about an hour and a half on foot. The site of Tiewa Temple near the ropeway station is steep, so you should pay attention to safety when going up the mountain.

3. Huayan Tourist Area

Huayan Tourist Area is located in the east of Laoshan Scenic Area, with Taiqing in the south, Yangkou in the north, Jufeng in the west and the sea in the east. It is the only Buddhist tourist area in Laoshan Mountain, including Huayan Temple, Naluo Cave and Fahai Sculpture. Yan Temple, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea in the east, is simple and elegant, and its asymmetric layout is rare in Buddhist architecture. It is the ancestral hall of China mantis boxing.

Take sightseeing bus to Huayan Tourist Area in the parking lot of Yangkou Tourist Area. Tour route: Faxian Square-Huazangmen-Tayuan-Huayan Temple-Yugushi-Naluo Cave. The whole tour takes about two and a half hours.

4. Yangkou Tourist Area

Yangkou Tourist Area is located in the northeast of Laoshan Scenic Area, facing the rippling Yellow Sea and backed by the peaks. The main features of the scenic spot are Taiping Palace Taoist Temple and Bay Beach. Unique natural landscape, rich cultural landscape and long history and culture. Since ancient times, it has been known as a scenic spot and a blessed land. It is famous for its eight scenic spots, including Gaihua Yingbin, Maritime Palace, Taiping Xiao Zhong, Shifeng Binri, Youlong Daojing, Xianshan Shoufeng, Strange Cave Seeking Heaven and Tianyuan Range Rover. It is also a famous holy place for leisure, summer vacation and entertainment.

After entering the scenic spot, there is a cableway on the left (it is recommended to take it if you have bad legs or are in a hurry). Walk back and forth for 25 minutes, and you can stand near Shouzi Peak. If it is a one-way ride, it is recommended to take the cableway up and down, where you can see the sea view); The hiking route on the right is: Taiping Palace-Lion Peak-Yulong Cave-Xiantao-Shouzifeng-Tianmidong-Tianyuan Garden. The whole journey takes about 2-3 hours.

5. Jiushui Tourist Area

Jiushuiyuan is located in Tianyi Spring, which is at an altitude of 1 100 meters on the north side of Jufeng Mountain. This is the highest spring in Laos.

Route: Guanlao Parking Lot-Wooden Plank Road-Sanshui-Wuji Lake-Lengcui Gorge-Qishui Hanging Curtain-Guanwaterfall Pavilion-Yin Chao Waterfall-Zhu. The main scenic spots "Nine Rivers and Eighteen Lakes" and various hieroglyphs are mostly concentrated on this route.
