Depth of field photography skills

We can often see some photos, especially portrait photos, which will be called the effect of depth of field. So what can a novice do to take such attractive photos? Let me introduce you to the photography skills of depth of field.

Photography skills of depth of field 1: increase aperture

Shallow depth of field can be easily obtained by using a large aperture. A large aperture doesn't mean you have to have a lens with an aperture of f/ 1.4 and f/ 1.8. Even a suit lens with a maximum aperture of f/3.5 can do the other two elements. Try to turn the aperture to the maximum.

Depth of field photography tip 2: use telephoto end

Assuming the aperture value is the same, using telephoto can make the depth of field shallow, such as:

Lens A: aperture f/4, focal length 18mm.

Lens B: Aperture f/4, focal length 200mm.

At this time, the depth of field of lens B will be shallower than that of lens A, and the background will be more blurred.

Depth of field photography skill 3: the distance ratio of camera, subject and background

It's hard to understand in words, but it means:

"The camera should be as close as possible to the subject and the subject should be as far away from the background as possible."

In this way, even if the same aperture value and focal length are used, the background of the photos taken in this way will be more blurred.
