South Korea's public toilet culture
We often say toilet, toilet, toilet. From the name, we know the basic use of this public facility: going to the toilet, washing hands and convenience. In Korean, the public toilet is called (locker room), which is a strange name at first glance. Later, I gradually learned about the culture of this place and felt that the name really revealed the meaning of public toilets.
For most people, public toilets are forced to enter, so you should hold your breath, make a decisive decision and flee quickly. Before leaving, I will try my best to solve the problem of large intestine and small intestine at home and avoid using public toilets. Perhaps because the environment of most public toilets in China is worrying, many people hold a negative attitude towards public toilets, and unsanitary is the most basic interpretation of public toilets. In China, public toilets in China are all squatting, which is an intolerable fact, but in South Korea, they are squatting. Because we have a bad impression of public toilets since childhood, we don't want to let our skin touch anywhere, so we are used to squatting. Every bathroom in the Korean airport has a notice board with a reminder picture that says "Don't squat on the toilet" in three languages including Chinese.

In my opinion, there are several places worth learning from in Korean toilets.
Every bathroom is provided with 1 toilet paper, hand sanitizer and toilet paper.
In China, toilet paper is a necessary item for women to go out and check their bags. Most public toilets do not provide toilet paper. Almost all toilets in Korea provide toilet paper, and a small note is posted next to the toilet paper bucket to remind people that if the toilet paper is gone, ring the bell to call the service department at any time, and the staff will deliver the paper to their hands, which is very convenient and will not lead to the embarrassment of no paper in the bag. Hand sanitizer and soap are also essential, and dryers and toilet paper are also basically supplied to promote public health.
2. Set up toilets and nursing rooms for the disabled.
South Korea's practice in caring for the disabled is worth learning. Transportation and public facilities will provide a convenient environment for the disabled. The toilet for the disabled has a lot of space, and the automatic button, sink and toilet are all designed with the height of wheelchair.

For lactating mothers, the most feared thing is to go out, because children do not have a comfortable breastfeeding environment when breastfeeding. Many mothers breast-feed on the steps of shopping malls or recliners. The crowds coming and going make it inconvenient for mothers, and the noisy environment is not conducive to children's eating. South Korea's bathrooms are equipped with special nursing rooms, sofas and operating tables for changing diapers. Mothers can safely breastfeed. Some bathrooms have urinals only available in men's bathrooms, which are designed for mothers with little boys to help their children go to the toilet.

3 Use smart toilets.
In some subway stations in Korea, there are toilets, and almost all the rest are toilets. There is a special disinfectant next to the toilet. If you feel uneasy, you can disinfect it at any time. When I first came here, I was not used to using toilets in public places, and I always felt uncomfortable. But time is a terrible thing. After a long time, I get used to everything. Some people can use smart toilets. Not surprisingly, they will sit down in winter. I will give full marks.
4 toilet clear regional division
At first, it was said that the bathroom in Korea was called dressing room. If you go to Korea, you will feel that this name lives up to its name. South Korea's toilets are divided into toilet area, hand washing area and dressing table area, where Korean girls who love beauty can make up at any time. After lunch, girls brush their teeth with a toothbrush in the bathroom, go to the dresser, open the cosmetic bag and start to make up before going on a date in the afternoon (a common phenomenon in Korean bathrooms, especially after lunch). I have to admit that the lighting in the fitting area is the highest-end beauty camera. Some bathrooms have sofas and armchairs in this area. I have seen a little girl lying half asleep in an armchair in the bathroom. Koreans pay attention to their appearance, and public toilets are not only a place to solve their physiological needs, but also an important space to tidy up their appearance.

But what really surprised me was the public toilets in Korea's high-speed service area.
Sunroom, small garden, art gallery, photo wall, sofa area ... have been challenging my knowledge of traditional public toilets. Every regional high-speed service area in Korea represents the image of this region, so we have made great efforts in facility construction. Restaurants provide Chinese, Korean and Japanese cuisine, snack bars, coffee shops and convenience stores are standard, and small gardens and smoking rooms are also essential. Of course, the most important thing is the public toilet.
After seeing the toilets in South Korea's expressway service area, I want to shoot a series to introduce the toilets in the service area. ...
The toilet styles I have seen in several service areas are as follows
1 pastoral style
? When I first entered the bathroom in Korea service area, it was a bathroom with a sun room. As soon as I entered the door, the first thing I saw was a huge sun room surrounded by glass. There were trees, flowers, birds and flowers inside. I was dumbfounded. After that, I have seen such toilets many times. Most of them set flower beds in the middle area of the bathroom to plant bamboo, flowers and seasonal flowers. This is simply a beautiful little garden.

2 Art Gallery Style
? Some bathrooms are small art galleries or exhibition halls, with different styles of paintings and photos hanging on the walls, and some themed bathrooms, such as the exhibition of Marvel comic characters and the reappearance of classic movies. Some reflect the historical story of the region where the service area is located. You can learn about the regional culture through old photos, and some simply design the interior of the bathroom into a traditional Korean style.

Not much to say.

Toilet is not just a space to solve physical problems, it is not enough to provide a toilet. On the contrary, it plays an extremely important role because it solves the most basic physiological problems of human beings. People's excretory reaction is not a process that makes people feel dirty, but a kind of physical relaxation and the most wonderful metabolic process, which should be paid attention to and deserves a beautiful place to relax. Public toilets are the facade of a country, which embodies the quality of all the people in a country. It is another private space outside people's homes. After coming in, solve the problem, have a short rest, check the instruments and relax, and people will welcome the next agenda with a brand-new look.
