Qinghai belongs to the continental plateau climate, with dry and cold winter and large temperature difference between day and night. It is generally recognized that the more suitable time for traveling is from late June to early September.

In mid-August this year, the first snow fell in Qilian Mountain. When I was traveling at the end of August, the temperature at night was only 3-5 degrees. Due to the seasonality of tourism and summer vacation, hotel catering and transportation expenses surged in July and August.

If time is free, it is suggested to consider the end of June and the beginning of September next year to avoid the peak of summer vacation.

The northwest Qinggan Great Ring Road is inconvenient in public transportation, with a daily journey of 400 to 500 kilometers. The distance between scenic spots is far, and there is no shuttle bus. Self-driving or chartered car is a more suitable choice.

Northwest restaurants have a large weight, far away from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong coastal areas. Please ask about the weight before ordering to avoid wasting.

During the tourist season in July and August, accommodation in Qinghai is a difficult problem, which is expensive and difficult to decide. It is recommended to book in advance. The most common standard rooms and even private houses cost seven or eight hundred yuan, and it is common to spend thousands of dollars at every turn.

Because of the strong sunshine during the day, it is easy to get sunburned. Apply sunscreen and lip balm every two hours. Be sure to wear a sun hat when taking pictures, and remember to turn down the exposure value.

The cell phone signal is very poor on the way from Dachaidan to Mangya to Lenghu these days. Remember to arrange things in advance. Although there are many people in the scenic spot, it is still quiet to walk in the distance.

The Great Northwest Link is mainly divided into seven days and nine days. The itinerary is mostly Dachaidan Emerald Lake in Chaka Salt Lake of Qinghai Lake, and then goes directly to Jiayuguan and Zhangye in Dunhuang.

D0: Shenzhen-Xining

It takes 3 hours and 20 minutes to fly from Shenzhen to Xining. Remember to book a window seat and take aerial photos of the mountains and rivers in the northwest and the clouds in the sky.

Xining Caojiabao Airport is 30-40 minutes away from the city center. Take a taxi about 60-70 yuan, and there is an airport bus to Xining Railway Station and Central Square. The fare is 2 1 yuan every 30 minutes.

The main places visited in Xining are Buddhist mosques and temples in China.

Dongguan Mosque and Nanguan Mosque are several hundred meters apart, and nanzenji and Fazhuang Temple at the foot of Nanshan are adjacent.

The renovation of Beichan Temple has not been opened for several years. Ta 'er Temple is about 28 kilometers away from the city center. It is estimated that it will take more than 2 hours by bus, and less than 1 hour by taxi or chartered car. Reserve at least half a day.

Because of the epidemic, mosques and temples in the city are not open.

D 1: Qinghai Lake Huahai Ranch

Although the flowering period on the shore of Qinghai Lake has passed, there are still several rape flowers on the shore of Hunan, and some people have planted purple orchids. As long as someone pays the bill, someone will always find a way to meet your needs.

Qinghai Lake is more than 300 kilometers around the lake, and it takes about three days for amateur cycling. I met a group of children riding bicycles on the road, and there were protective cars in front and back. Let's go for a walk or ride in Qinghai Lake sometime in spring.

Although most of the lakeshore has been closed and protected or turned into scenic pastures, there are still some places where you can go to the lake for free, and horses and yaks are taking pictures everywhere. It's not very interesting to have a look.

The size of the lake and the sea must be seen from a distance to get a glimpse of its momentum.

Near Erlangjian Scenic Area, turn left and take Panshan dirt road. You don't have to climb very high and walk very far. Pull over and climb the nearby hillside. Qinghai Lake will appear in front of you in another way.

It's nice to sit on a windy hillside and look at Qinghai Lake quietly.

When you drive all day and find yourself still by Qinghai Lake, I think you will understand how big Qinghai Lake is.

Away from the flowers and scenic spots on the south bank, Qinghai Lake has returned to its original appearance. The white felt house is foggy, cattle and sheep graze slowly in groups, and freedom is like the wind blowing across the lake.

D2: Chaka Salt Lake

Dachaidan Emerald Lake

Chaka Salt Lake and Aiken Spring are the two places I least expect on the Northwest Great Ring Road, so she is predictably boring.

Any salt lake on the road behind you will throw a street in Chaka Salt Lake. However, people's tourism promotion is really good. Half of the salt lake produces salt and the other half engages in tourism. The gimmicks in the sky and some reflection photos make tourists flock to them.

What impressed me was all kinds of fancy little trains, sitting in the innermost station and then coming out.

It is more than 300 kilometers from Chaka Salt Lake to Dachaidan, and the expressways and national highways in Qinghai are very good.

Along the way, I began to feel the desolate beauty of the northwest, the Gobi and barren hills on both sides. No wonder Haizi wrote that meaningful and beautiful love poem in Delingha.

Although Dachaidan Emerald Lake is not as good as Mangya Emerald Lake, it is far more interesting than Chaka Salt Lake.

There is still snow on the top of the mountain in the distance, and wild ducks are playing in the water on the grass by the lake.

There are countless salt lakes scattered all over the earth, which are blue-green because of their gold content. Snow white by the lake is neither sand nor snow, but hard saline-alkali soil.

D3: U-shaped highway-Dongtai set

Aquatic Ya Dan-Sitaiji

The essence of the big link starts from the third day, and the first two days can only be regarded as appetizers.

G3 15 National Road is comparable to route 66 in the United States, with a total length of 3,063 kilometers. It starts from Xining in Qinghai, passes through Qinghai Lake and Qaidam Basin, crosses Altun Mountain, and crosses Taklimakan Desert to Kashgar in Xinjiang.

Today, we take the essence of G3 15, including China's version of Kiner Lake in Dongtai, the U-shaped highway of G3 15 National Highway, the Ya Dan on the water in the desert and the magical West Pacific Bicolor Lake.

The U-shaped highway has two sections, but it is not a scenic spot, but a U-shaped section between two ridges on the national highway, with desolate Gobi on both sides, and the middle road seems to lead to the sky.

Don't park your car on the road. You'd better have a companion to watch when taking pictures. It is said that there was an accident.

In fact, you can not only sit on the road and take photos of the road, but also climb the mound next to you to make good-looking road movies.

In fact, there are many similar roads in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Tibet and Inner Mongolia, but the slope and angle are not so classic.

Dongtai Jinaier Lake is known as China's version of Maldives, with clear water, clear sand (salt), small children and similar styles. But if you don't want to move, you can only take pictures of boring tourists.

After entering the white salt beach, go straight for a few hundred meters, and there is a large salt beach in Yanhe District. There is a shallow place on the right, where you can plunge into the depths with few people, but this is forbidden in the scenic spot.

In fact, as long as you walk a few hundred meters to the right along the river bank, there will be no one at all, but 99% tourists are willing to squeeze into that area.

However, I really want to thank them for helping me take a walk in Lake Jinaier in Dongtai. The lake is cyan, green and blue from near to far, and the beach formed by salt and alkali creaks under my feet. Free, wandering alone.

The surprise of Ya Dan on Wusu River is not on the scenic route. Don't follow the tourists after sightseeing bus. I really don't understand why people make do with their lives while complaining about the crowded people.

Follow the camel team along the shore of the lake, and there are basically no tourists. Climb to the top of Ya Dan landform, you can overlook the invincible scenery of Ya Dan and take photos of the camels.

In addition, it is worth going to the entrance of the scenic spot, leaving the road to bypass a section of water and climbing to a higher peak. This is the angle of shooting the poster of the West Sea Fleet.

But when I first came, I didn't feel anything at all. We are tired of filming other people's children feeding seagulls. It is said that seagulls come to Qinghai every summer and go to Kunming Dali in winter. I don't know when they will go to the seaside.

Suddenly, I saw the lake in the distance turn green, and then they came all the way. The best shooting spot is actually near the arc dam on the west side, with clear blue and green, and no regrets.

D4: Aiken Spring

Mangya Emerald Lake

There are two emerald lakes on the Great Northwest Ring Road. The Emerald Lake on the conventional loop line is located in Dachaidan, mainly in Mangya Emerald Lake.

Mangya Emerald Lake is about half an hour away from Huatugou Town. Get up early to surf and go back for a nap at noon.

Huatugou is an important oil town. The local people live a rich life and the conditions are much better than expected. Whether it is eating, staying or buying fruit, it is cheap and convenient.

Jade Lake is opposite to G3 15 National Road, so after entering the scenic spot, the small lake on the left can capture the reflection of the Thousand Buddha Cliff, and the big lake on the right can capture the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

Going inside, there is a place where you can go deep into the salt lake, surrounded by all kinds of salt lake pits, which feel like coral and jade.

Others still don't want to go inside, just taking pictures on the highway.

Driving around the Great Lake, there is a place where the water is very shallow, so you can take a reflection directly.

This place may be a girl's favorite. Everything you wear is beautifully photographed, many times better than Chaka Salt Lake.

But even in such a place suitable for taking pictures, the number of people present is not more than 10.

For me, who doesn't like taking pictures of others or taking selfies, buying an ice cream and hiking along the lake shore is the king.

Aiken's fame in spring depends entirely on drones and post-processing, and the actual scenery is poor in both photography and playability.

Sleep until three o'clock in the afternoon and take a walk. Cement roads are mixed with dirt roads. It takes an hour to drive more than 30 kilometers, and you have to go through security check.

For the convenience of tourists without drones, the scenic spot has set up a temporary tower by the spring. 10 yuan can climb to the second floor and overlook, but there is really nothing to see.

Even the photos taken by drones need a lot of post-processing to achieve the effect you want.

D5: Unknown Ya Dan.

Yiboliang-Mars Camp

Today is the most desolate day of the Great Northwest Ring Road, turning back from Huatugou Town to the east along G3 15 National Road.

Near the intersection of G3 15 and G2 15, there is a large area of unknown Ya Dan landform on the roadside. If the color was emerald green a few days ago, today's color is Gobi yellow.

In fact, all the way is the Ya Dan landform of Gobi Desert, but the scenery near this large-scale expressway is also beautiful.

People who don't like taking pictures like to wander around. I climbed over several mountains and mounds while others were taking beautiful photos and playing with drones.

I'm sorry that there is no signal on my cell phone, so I have my companions looking for me everywhere.

It is a terrible thing to be separated and unable to contact in the Gobi.

Oberlian is considered to be the most moon-like place on earth, even if nothing becomes desolate. Within 0/00 km of Fiona Fang/Kloc-in Fiona Fang, there is a circular mound similar to the landform of Mars. There are no roads on the ground, only tire tracks left by predecessors. If there are many people walking, it is a road.

From a distance, Oberlian looks like a castle and palace in the desert. Later we learned that what we saw was only part of it. The actual Oberlian stretches for more than ten kilometers.

I don't know how deep Oberlian is, but we just drove to the ridge, and there are different forms of Ya Dan soil forests everywhere, such as camels, elephants and castles.

Standing on a high place overlooking the whole Oberlian area, Qian Qian is covered with thousands of circular mounds, which are endless and desolate.

Mars camp is near Oberlian. It is not a way to go to the two places, but there is a fork in the road at the foot of the mountain.

Camp Mars is the only place nearby where you can stay. Watching the stars at night is a thief.

The small capsule warehouse sells for nearly two thousand per night, and the tent outside is four or five hundred per person. It is said that it was fully booked two months ago.

It is said that it used to be free to bring your own tent and RV. There are many motorcycles and off-road vehicles parked around the camp, and the nearby deserts and landforms are very suitable for stimulating driving.

Lenghu Town, where I stayed that night, is an abandoned oil town with poor conditions and high prices.

Go to the suburbs to see the starry sky at night, but you can really feel the beauty that you can't photograph.

The next morning, I bought some beautiful stones at the stall. Later, I picked up some souvenirs to take home on my way to Dangshan.

D6: Dang Jinshan-Mingsha Mountain

When Jinshan is located at the junction of Gansu, Xinjiang and Qinghai provinces, it is the western pass of the Great Ring Road crossing Qilian Mountain. Although the altitude is 3300 meters, Qinghai itself is relatively high.

I didn't feel it before. After going downhill for more than ten kilometers, I really felt the concept of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Only when I walk into the orchard beside Dunhuang Road will I understand the meaning of oasis in the desert.

The road will pass through abandoned oil towns, beautiful mountains and windmills, and endless winding roads.

The crescent spring in Mingsha Mountain is also a punch-in attraction, with many tourists. If you are interested in camel riding, you can ride a camel team around the desert at the entrance of Crescent Spring.

Climb up the dune from the mountaineering route behind the Crescent Spring, walk to the other side along the ridge of the dune, go down to the mountainside, and then slide down the mountain with wooden boards.

Only on the sand dunes can the shape of crescent spring be photographed. It is recommended to take off your shoes and step on the soft fine sand when you go down the mountain.

Riding a camel 100 yuan, taking photos of camels, 20 yuan, 20 yuan, helicopter 1000 yuan, each 500 yuan.

It is especially recommended to see the performance drama "Look at Dunhuang again". The fare of 298 yuan is worth it.

D7: Danxia in Ice Gully

Zhangye Qicai Danxia

Because of something at home, I said goodbye to my friends in advance, took the bullet train to Zhangye, and rented a car to colorful Danxia and Binggou Danxia.

Dunhuang finally got through the bullet train, and there were buses to Zhangye in the morning and afternoon, which took about four hours.

All the way to the desert Gobi, I saw a touch of green, and I arrived at an urban oasis.

Colorful Danxia in Zhangye is located in Linze County. It takes about 1 hour to drive from Zhangye city. Provincial roads are being built, and the roads are rugged. It's a long way to take the expressway, and the time is similar.

The colorful Danxia in Zhangye is generally recommended to go at sunset in the evening. The sunshine on Danxia is so beautiful that it is very easy to take big photos. Don't be too conscientious about the tickets to 73 yuan.

There are four scenic spots in the scenic area, namely colorful Yuan Xian Terrace, colorful Yuntai Terrace, colorful Jinxiu Terrace and colorful Xiatai, which can be visited in turn by landscape bus.

Among them, Yuntai is the most beautiful, followed by Hongxiatai, with a walking plank road. Unfortunately, we have to go to Danxia in the ice ditch later, and there is no extra time to experience it.

If you buy a package tour, you can also visit the colorful Aohetai and Vientiane Tulin Valley.

Ice ditch Danxia is more than ten kilometers away from colorful Danxia, but it is also difficult to build roads. Fortunately, it doesn't get dark until eight o'clock in the northwest, so you can visit two Danxia scenic spots from Dunhuang to Zhangye on the same day.

Maybe it's too close to the colorful Danxia, or maybe I arrived too late. At that time, it was only me and my four little brothers and sisters in Shanghai who climbed the mountain happily.

Danxia in Binggou is mainly two scenic spots, Daxitian and Xiaoxitian. Let's go to Xiaoxitian first, and remember to climb to the top of the mountain to see the scenery opposite is really beautiful.

Returning from a small Buddhist paradise to a big Buddhist paradise, the scenic spot probably feels dark and is afraid of an accident. Specially sent a car with a special police escort, urging it to climb up and have a look before coming down.

How lonely it is to climb to the top of the mountain for more than ten minutes in one breath. In fact, Danxia in the ice ditch is a typical Danxia landform, and the colorful Danxia is a bit hilly.

D8: Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon

Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon is located in the northern suburb of Zhangye City, along the expressway from Zhangye to Alashan. There are few cars and people on the road, and the sky is particularly blue. Occasionally, you will see groups of camels.

Pingshan Lake, the county where the Grand Canyon is located, is already a Mongolian inhabited area, and there are Mongolian-style tourist towns outside the scenic spot.

Grand Canyon Tickets 100 Yuan +25 yuan, sightseeing bus. There are mainly four observation decks. Sightseeing bus stops at observation deck 65,438+0, and observation deck 2 takes the plank road, and it takes about half an hour to go back and forth.

No.3 and No.4 observation platforms are on the same route, and the entrance to the Grand Canyon is between No.3 observation platform and No.4 observation platform.

Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon belongs to red bed landform, with red rocks and hills everywhere.

Canyon exploration is her biggest highlight. There are three routes for canyon exploration, and I took the nearest one.

There is a super-original sky and two 100-meter ladders. You can't climb the ladder without physical strength, and you can't climb the sky without a good figure. It's really a very interesting original ecological experience.

Coming up from the ladder is observation deck 4. Looking back, the scenery is unique.

I ate stuffed skin and yogurt in Xining, watched the sunset and sunset glow on the plane, and waved goodbye to the northwest.
