In China, there are many scenic spots with trees as the scenery, but they are either strange, ancient or beautiful. In the desert of northern Shaanxi, there is an ancient forest with more than 300 grotesque and even some "ugly" trees, which forms a peculiar landscape and attracts many big brothers and grandfathers to visit.

This is Shenshujian, a free scenic spot in Jingbian, Yulin, Shaanxi. Yulin is the northernmost city in Shaanxi, known as the "border town". Shenshujian is located in Hongdun Street Town, Jingbian County, Yulin. It is located on the border of Shaanxi and Mongolia, on the southern edge of the Mu Us Desert, and it is a real desert beach.

More than 300 grotesque trees grow on the beach stream of 20 square kilometers. The sign says this is "Maoliu". However, unlike the graceful willows we often see, these hairy willows in Shenshujian are quite "ferocious" at first glance. Many trees have fallen, and the branches seem to have been cut down. Coupled with the vast loess beach streams around, there is a strange feeling that cannot be said.

Although these hairy willows are ugly, knowing their background will make everyone admire them more. This hairy willow belongs to Bai Liu, and it is a very vital tree. They are all treasures, bark can be used as medicine, and willow rafters can be used to repair houses, so they used to be one of the important sources of income for people.

Because the branches are useful, those hairy willows will always be cut down one by one, and the locals have given them an image name called "Broken Willows". It is precisely because of such a long time, coupled with natural disasters such as lightning strikes, that the ancient willow trees appear "ferocious."

Because most men are engaged in photography, everyone joked that there are often big grandfathers coming to this scenic spot, and when they look at it, they often shoot with long guns and short guns.

There are no tickets for Shenshujian Scenic Area. If you want to visit Danxia and Tongwancheng in Longzhou, Jingbian, you might as well take a photo here. The specific location can be navigated.
