Plot introduction

Version 1

Langton Carter (Sean West) lives in a small harbor town in North Carolina. He is the only son of the richest man in town. He is a typical bad boy. He doesn't study hard, but hangs out with some guys in town all day. Once, Langton and his friends tricked a new transfer student into jumping into a large pool in a cement factory. Unexpectedly, the dark pool was full of abandoned steel pipes, and the transfer students climbed up covered in blood. The boys who realized that the joke was too big scared away. Only Langdon stayed a little longer to comfort the injured child, so he became the only "murderer" caught.

Although he escaped from prison, Langton was sentenced to be a volunteer-teaching students and writers in a nearby primary school and participating in the school's spring performance, which was worse than imprisonment. However, it is this accidental event that makes Langdon meet the girl he will never forget-Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore). Jamie is the daughter of the town priest, a typical good girl. She often volunteers in her spare time, so she naturally met Langdon. At first, he sneered at the guy who almost killed a life. Gradually, she found that Langdon was not as bad as she thought. With the deepening of their relationship, they fell in love inexplicably, which surprised almost everyone who knew Langton and Jamie.

Jamie's sincerity, kindness, purity and her love for life are infecting and changing Langdon every day. He grew tired of his previous life and began to pursue his own ideals and beliefs, but at this time Jamie's father played the role of playing mandarin duck and didn't believe that a child like Langdon would really fall in love with his daughter. How does Langdon prove his true love to his girlfriend's father? How will this love between Cinderella and the bad boy end?

Version 2

First love is beautiful and unforgettable. For Langton Carter (Shane West), first love even changed his life and became an indispensable memory in his life. The girl named Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) told him that he would never forget it.

In high school, Langton lived in a harbor town in North Carolina and was the only son of the richest man in the town. His father's remarriage made Langdon's life out of control. He fish in troubled waters all day, doing nothing, and hanging out with a group of idlers. He never had any ideals or beliefs.

Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of a small-town Baptist pastor, belongs to the kind of "good girl" and "bookworm" in the eyes of her peers. She believes in religion, behaves appropriately and gets excellent grades. Although this kind of life makes her look "old-fashioned" among the young people around her, and some people have laughed at and ridiculed her, she is unmoved and still lives according to her ideals and beliefs.

If it weren't for an accident, it's hard to imagine that Langton and Jamie's lives would intersect, because they are two completely unrelated people.

One night, Langton and his friends tricked a new transfer student into jumping into the big pool of the cement plant.

It was during this time that Langton met Jamie, who was a volunteer. At first, Jamie scoffed at this guy who almost killed a life, but her faith required her to abandon her personal prejudice and help others selflessly. So, when Langdon was in trouble and asked Jamie for help, she was patient and responsive. Gradually, she found that Langdon was not as bad as she thought. With the deepening of their relationship, they fell in love inexplicably, which surprised almost everyone who knew Langton and Jamie.

Jamie's sincerity, kindness, purity and her love for life are infecting and changing Langton every day. He grew tired of his previous life and began to pursue his own ideals and beliefs. Because of this, Langton loves Jamie even more. However, the relationship between young people has not developed smoothly. It was blocked by Jamie's father. Old Sullivan didn't believe that a child like Langton would really fall in love with his daughter. The vigilance and protective desire of a single father made old Sullivan play the role of playing mandarin duck.

How does Langdon prove his true love to his girlfriend's father? How will this love between Cinderella and the bad boy end? The end of the film gives us a satisfactory answer.
