Arong's story background
This TV series, which focuses on the struggle experience of A Xin-style Hakka women for most of their lives, comprehensively describes the local Hakka history in Shenzhen and reflects the vicissitudes of Shenzhen's reform and opening up.
The TV series "Arong" was jointly invested and filmed by Xi Anmei Subculture Communication Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Youcheng Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Pingdi Street Cultural and Sports Service Center in Longgang District and the Propaganda Department of Shenzhen Municipal Committee.
Shenzhen forces to build Shenzhen drama
The script of the TV series Arong was adapted by Liang, a native writer in Shenzhen, according to his novellas Hakkas in the Storm and How to Be Rich, among which Hakkas in the Storm won the third Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Literature Award with 1999.
"Before the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, there were 400,000 locals living here, and the Hakka people living in the Hakka base camp in Longgang District accounted for 60%. After the reform and opening up, they grew and developed together with builders from all over the country. Therefore, the development history of Shenzhen is inseparable from the development history of Hakkas. " The screenwriter Liang said this.
Arong, with the Hakka Wai Shanhaiguan near Dapeng Bay in Shenzhen as the background, tells the story of 40 years of hardship, struggle and success, and also records the development process of Shenzhen from a poor and backward border village to a modern city, which spans from before the founding of the People's Republic of China to the early 1990s. The play reflects the Hakka people's persistent nostalgia and love concept, shows the hero's fighting spirit of "like bamboo shoots, no matter how big the stone is, it will come out", and vividly reproduces the unique folk customs and simple and beautiful living environment of Shenzhen Hakka people.
What's more worth mentioning is that the story and shooting scenes of the play are in Shenzhen and its surrounding areas. The ancient vicissitudes of Hakka surrounding houses, working women wearing cool hats, hot construction sites and high-rise buildings will all be displayed in the play. When showing the life of local Hakkas, the crew mainly filmed on location in Kwai Chung, Pingdi, Xiyong and Huidong County of Huizhou in Shenzhen, while the scenes reflecting the reform and opening up were mainly filmed in Shenzhen.
Tell the story of "A Xin around"
The TV series The Story of Ashin deeply touched the hearts of China audiences in the early 1980s. Twenty years later, filmmakers hope to create a Chinese-style "A Xin" with "Arong" as the typical image, a strong, tolerant, beautiful and generous oriental woman. Arong tells a story similar to that of Ashin, focusing on the land under everyone's feet. I have a semi-feudal and semi-colonial history, explored how to survive and develop before the reform and opening up, tried hard to start a business for farmers, and experienced how to get rid of the shackles of small-scale peasant consciousness and feudal superstition. This is the perspective of the TV series "Ah Rong".
The story takes the protagonist Arong's suffering-struggle-success as the main line and family-love-nostalgia as the link, leading the audience into the ups and downs of love and hate for more than 40 years. The play focuses on Arong's persistence in survival, career, loyalty to love and cherishing family ties.
"Ah Rong tells the story of women's suffering and inspiration. She is a great and ordinary woman, and her hard-working and indomitable spirit has certain enlightenment to modern people. Producer Charley Zhuo explained the original intention of the play.
Folk songs and cool hats blow "Hakka style"
According to statistics, there are about 80 million Hakkas scattered at home and abroad. Because it is a migrant nation, the folk customs are unique and colorful. As time goes on, many folk customs gradually disappear. However, Ah Rong is a Hakka, and she has not forgotten her roots. In TV series, Hakka weddings, funerals and celebrations, rural customs reappear on the screen. Folk songs, cool hats and Hakka wai run through the whole play, and theme songs, folk songs and nursery rhymes are also performed in Hakka dialect.
"I'm from the sky, I'm the Mid-Autumn Festival flower, and the wind blows me to the seaside, and my home is at the end ..." This beautiful folk song about Hakka history will run through the whole drama, which is different from other film and television dramas, and will make the audience feel refreshed and make many Hakkas and wanderers with various accents sprout a sense of intimacy in bathing the countryside.
The extras were moved to tears.
The "love" in Ah Rong can be said to run through the whole plot. Mother died of evil adultery; Ah Rong's narrow escape was due to the pity of Xu Jiu and Wang Ma. The conflict between Ah Rong and Xu Hai, Tang Wang, cannon and Dashan stems from the admiration of several men for a woman. The hero and heroine Aaron and Xu Hai have never left their sincere and helpless love from beginning to end; Arong, Tianci and Di Feng, because of their unforgettable affection and love, interpreted the story as a mountain and heavy water; The feelings of God-given and Zhang Dui made Arong's career fall from the peak to the bottom, while the feelings of God-given and Dashan for Arong turned over from despair ... It can be said that a word "love" propped up Arong's trunk and branches, which is closely related to Arong's fate and career. When Ah Rong pushes Xu Hai, a childhood friend, around the vast world in the finale, people can't help but breathe a sigh of relief: "Ah, finally ..." Ah Rong's affection, affection and nostalgia will make the audience deeply immersed in the plot.
When filming the funeral scene of Arong's mother being framed as a leper by the patriarch and buried alive in the surrounding area of Shenzhen, the whole village spontaneously went to the scene to act as extras. When I saw "Ah Rong" crying for the loss of his mother, the whole village was moved to tears by such a bleak scene, and many people even burst into tears, showing the artistic appeal of "Ah Rong".
The director of "Big Sister" led the "Strength School" to join.
Ah Rong's behind-the-scenes team is an out-and-out "strength faction." Director Zhang Jinbiao is the director of Xiaoxiang Film Studio. His representative works include the film Mao Zedong and Son and the TV series Golden Evening. Earlier, his TV series "Big Sister" and "Iron Plateau" were broadcast on CCTV, which was well received by many viewers because of its natural, true and simple style. The screenwriter Liang is from Kwai Chung, Shenzhen. Former Deputy Secretary of Shenzhen Youth League Committee. He has published a novella collection "Hakka Love" and a photo collection "Love". Producer Charley Zhuo used to be the deputy director of Shanghai Film Studio and the vice president of Shanghai Film Group. He used to be the planner and producer of Ruan, Shake to Waipoqiao, Romantic Moon and Shanghai Beach. In the play, the heroine A Rong is played by the powerful actor Li Yanqiu. She once played Ma Yuee in the movie "Blood Oath", Sophie in "National Anthem", and Mei Tian Tian in "Storm and Plum House", and her acting skills were unanimously recognized by the audience. Arong's age span in the play ranges from 8 to 50. Except for her childhood, she was played by a little actress, and all other ages-from naive girls to mature middle-aged women-were played by Li Yanqiu alone. Xu Hai, Allen's childhood sweetheart, is played by Tian Shaojun. As an actor, he has appeared in more than 400 TV series, such as Li, Man Jiang Hong, Mending the Sky, Home and Ten Years of Marriage.
