Can I bring a SLR camera when I go to serve as a volunteer?

I came back from the army in 2005.

If you really want to take one, I suggest you don’t bring one that’s too good, and don’t bring one that’s too big. Generally, the smaller and more convenient the better.

If you have money and insist on getting a 1D or something, there is nothing you can do. However, as the man above said, there are many things at the grassroots level, such as training, security, tolerance, etc. . . . .

Only towels, pens, notebooks, toiletries, bags, water bottles, 1-2 pieces of underwear that are usually changed, and some small items (batteries, etc.) are allowed in the small cabinet in the class. It is impossible for you to put too much stuff.

Our troops have regular inspections, and then each company and class must be evaluated. The folds have a standard height and a consistent width. Even the flat surface must be padded with hard objects (it must be removed after padding. Otherwise, it will be very embarrassing when the inspection is carried out.)

If you really like to take pictures, I suggest you bring some Film camera. When I go out on leave every week, I go to the photo printing shop next to the army to have the photos developed, which is easier to carry. Moreover, photo albums are similar to notebooks, making them easy to collect and store. It won't affect the whole thing.

I don’t know if you are satisfied with this explanation. If you have any questions, let’s discuss them in detail.

When you are a soldier, you must be a good soldier! Achieve results and reflect personal value. This spirit applies everywhere. The military is a melting pot. It's not an easy thing to really practice well.

Finally, I wish you good luck as a "new recruit"! ~
