Where was Wu born?

Wu, formerly known as Wu Yinpei, was born in July, 1924. He loved painting since childhood, and studied under painters Wu and Qian Qingbi in middle school.

After graduating from high school, he was admitted to the Art Department of National Central University. Under the strict training of the famous professors Lv Sibai and Huang Xianzhi, I laid a solid sketch foundation. Later, he studied China's painting theory and techniques with famous painters such as Fu Baoshi, Zhang Shuqi, Huang Junbi and Chen Zhifo. Mr Fu Baoshi dubbed it "cold stone", which means cold and easy to get rid of vulgarity, and perseverance is better than stone.

Two solo exhibitions were held in 1987 and 1997.

1993 was invited to visit Taiwan, and his works participated in the joint exhibition of contemporary painting and calligraphy masters. From 65438 to 0996, The Collection of Wu Paintings was published by People's Fine Arts Publishing House, which was well received.

1946 was admitted to the painting department of Nanjing National Central University.
