A meaningful little story

A glass of milk

One day, a poor boy was selling goods door to door in order to save enough tuition. After a hard day's work, he suddenly felt very hungry, but he only had a dime. What shall we do? He decided to ask a family for food. When he thought of the young woman opening the door, the little boy was a little at a loss. He didn't ask for a meal, but begged for a drink. Seeing that he was hungry, the woman gave him a large glass of milk. The boy drank the milk slowly and asked, "How much should I pay?" The young woman replied, "You don't have to pay a penny. Mother taught us to give love without asking for anything in return. " The boy said, "then, please accept my thanks!" " "Say that finish, the boy left the house. At this time, he not only felt energetic, but also saw that God was smiling at him, and that kind of manly heroism came out like a mountain torrent.

In fact, the boy is going to drop out of school.

A few years later, the young woman was seriously ill, and there was nothing the local doctors could do. Finally, in the big city, I will have a knife treatment and consult an expert. The little boy in those days is now a famous doctor Howard Kelly, and he also participated in the formulation of the treatment plan. A strange idea flashed through his mind when he saw the history of the patient on the medical record. He immediately got up and went straight to the ward.

When he came to the ward, Dr. Kelly recognized the patient in bed as a benefactor who had helped him. He returned to the office, determined to try his best to cure the benefactor's illness. From that day on, he took special care of the patients. After hard work, the operation was successful. Dr. Kelly asked for a medical bill to be sent to him and signed it next to it.

When the medical bill was sent to this special patient, she was afraid to read it because she was sure that it would waste all her property. Finally, she got up the courage and opened the notice of medical expenses. Next to the fine print caught her attention, and he couldn't help reading it:

"Medical expenses-a full glass of milk.

Dr Howard Kelly "

go to all lengths

Seeing two old people playing Go in the park, playing chess is very slow, which makes the onlookers feel impatient. The first old man said interestingly, "Hey! Are you playing chess or am I playing chess? We have been thinking about a game of chess for more than ten minutes, which is very fast. Do you know that Lin Haifeng's next piece will take more than an hour? " The old man next to him booed: "Laugh! I am compared to Lin Haifeng. " The second old man, who looks very cultured, said, "You don't know whether it's good to play Go slowly or fast, but it's killing people, unlike playing chess with friends." In addition, when the first chess piece falls, a game of chess begins to die. Fill it in step by step, and when it is full of chess, it will die, and the chessboard will be dismantled. Slow down, slow down and die slowly! "This seemingly sharp words make all the workhorse nearby silent. After watching the chess game, no one hurried and no one spoke. A good go should be slowly underground, and a good life course should be savored; Don't rush to fill the chessboard, and don't rush to take the road of life.

Where is fate?

A Zen master often talks about the word "fate" with everyone. A loyal listener always believes in fate, so he looks forward to the miracle in life every day. He thought: since there is fate, everything is arranged by fate. However, year after year, his life has been mediocre, with no brilliance and light, only gloom and poverty. He thought, is this his destiny? With doubt, he went to visit the Zen master: "Do you really have a destiny?" The Zen master asked him to hold out his left hand and pointed it out to him: "Did you see it clearly? This horizontal line is called love line, this diagonal line is called career line, and the other vertical line is the lifeline. " Then, the Zen master asked him to do an action with himself: hold his hand slowly and tightly. The Zen master asked, "Where do you think these lines are?" The man said in a panic, "I have it!" " "What about fate?" The man finally understood that fate is in his own hands, not in others' mouths. After enlightenment, men are determined to change their destiny with actions. In the process of hard work, he encountered many setbacks and difficulties. At this time, he will think of the words of Zen master: fate is in his own hands, not in others' mouths. So, he secretly held his hand, and whenever he held his hand, he found himself very motivated and confident.

The height of fleas

Someone has done flea experiments, which is very interesting. Put the flea in a glass bottle, and it can easily jump out of it. Cover it with a transparent glass cover. The flea jumped many times and touched the glass cover. Later, the glass cover was removed, but the flea could no longer jump out of the glass bottle. Fleas can't jump to their original height after setbacks. Won't we lose our higher requirements for life after being hit or failed? Due to the erosion of wind and frost, we have no edges and corners, indulge in mediocrity, complain blindly, but never try to challenge life.

As long as you stand up one more time than you fall down, you will succeed.

A father is very worried about his children. Because his son is fifteen or sixteen years old, but he has no masculinity at all. So, the father went to visit a Zen master and asked him to train his children. The Zen master said, "You leave the child with me. After three months, I will certainly train him into a real man. However, you can't come to see him for three months. " Father agreed. Three months later, the father came to pick up the children. The Zen master arranged for the children to compete with the karate coach to show the training results of these three months. As soon as the coach made a move, the child fell to the ground. He stood up and continued to meet the challenge, but he was immediately knocked down and stood up again ... so he went back and forth 16 times. The Zen master asked his father, "Do you think your child's performance is manly enough? Father said, "I'm so ashamed! Unexpectedly, I sent him here for training for three months, and as a result, he was beaten in a big mess and fell down after a beating. The Zen master said, "It's a pity that you only see the superficial victory or defeat. Have you seen your son's courage and perseverance to stand up immediately after falling? This is real manhood! "As long as you stand up once more than you fall down, you will be successful.

loner

I traveled some time ago and lived in a dormitory in Jing Hui. I saw an attractive newspaper clipping on the bulletin board, which was cut from a newspaper published in Canada. The author has no signature, and the title is A Lonely Man. The content is as follows: this man was born in a little-known village, his parents are Jewish and his mother is a peasant girl. He grew up in another small village. He works in a carpenter's shop. After 30, he began to travel and preach for three years. He has never written a book, held any post, owned no house or family. He has never been to a university or set foot in a big city. His farthest trip is no more than 200 miles from his birthplace. He has nothing to do with greatness and greatness. He doesn't even have a certificate. Only himself. The world gave him nothing but his body. When he was very young, everyone looked down on him and opposed him. His friends abandoned him and one of them betrayed him. He was handed over to the enemy for trial and was laughed at. He was nailed to a wooden cross between two robbers. His only coat in this world was cast by the executing soldiers. Buried in a borrowed grave. This grave was given by a friend of his. Today, more than 2000 years later, the whole world takes his date of birth as the Gregorian calendar year. He has become the center of mankind and the driving force for the progress of world civilization. I dare say that adding up all the army, navy, congressmen and emperors who have ruled mankind has far less influence on mankind on earth than this lonely man. -This is a wonderful description of the life of Christ Jesus.
