How to do a good job of taking pictures of the fire scene
In recent years, with the rapid development of economic construction, various accidents in thermal power plants have been increasing, and the work of fire investigators has become more and more important. However, the author found that grass-roots fire supervision departments often paid insufficient attention to fire scene photography in fire investigation, which affected the further improvement of fire coordination quality to some extent. First, the main problem existing in the current fire scene photography-the timeliness of fire scene photography is not strong. After a fire accident, firefighters can't rush to the scene every time, which is likely to cause natural or man-made damage to the scene. -Shooting the fire scene can't truly and objectively reflect the original situation of the scene. Mainly manifested in the seemingly opposing traces when taking pictures, only the trace evidence that is beneficial to prove one's point of view is taken, and the unfavorable trace evidence is often easily discarded; Others modify, manipulate, even move and add or subtract the subject, which makes the photo unable to reflect the original scene of the fire scene, thus weakening or even losing its role in prompting the cause of the fire. -The accuracy and clarity of the images of things in the photos are not high. The main things expressed in the photos of the fire scene are not accurate and clear enough, and some of them are even distorted and blurred. -The whole set of photos lacks systematicness, which can't completely reflect the original appearance of the scene and reveal the characteristics of the fire. Mainly manifested in the lack of internal correlation between the pictures of each photo, can not form a systematic interrelated and mutually confirmed whole. Second, measures to strengthen the fire scene photography 1. Really understanding the significance of fire scene photography and attaching importance to the role of fire scene photography technology in fire coordination are the basis for doing a good job in fire scene photography. The purpose of fire scene photography is to reflect the location and general situation of the fire scene through photos, to prompt the traces of fire occurrence and spread, on-site physical evidence and its significance in the fire, and to provide basis and information for studying the fire scene, analyzing the cause of the fire, and testing and identifying the physical evidence. Doing a good job of taking pictures of the fire scene can play three roles: first, objectively record the scene environment, the whole scene, key parts of the scene, traces of physical evidence and other places and things related to people's livelihood, and provide clues and evidence for the investigation of the fire cause; Second, under certain conditions, it can be directly tested to reveal and confirm the cause of the fire; The third is to collect and store fire data, provide comparative samples for similar fires, and promote the identification of fire causes and the development of fire prevention work. 2. Strengthen training and education to improve the technical level of fire scene photography. The purpose, task and requirements of fire scene photography are different from ordinary photography. Therefore, in addition to mastering the basic theory and skills of photography, fire scene photography must also master the steps and methods, contents, relevant legal procedures and professional requirements of photo production and arrangement. Shooting the fire scene must be carried out comprehensively and systematically in accordance with the rules of on-site investigation. Generally, the following principles should be followed: shoot the original first, and then shoot the touching one; Shoot low first, then shoot high; It is easy to disappear first, but it is not easy to destroy and disappear after shooting; Shoot the easy ones first, then the difficult ones. The common methods of on-site photography include opposite photography, multi-directional photography, rotary continuous photography and linear continuous photography. The common methods of photographing trace material evidence include polarized light photography, large-scale original photography and direct amplification photography. Fire scene photos have the function of evidence in law, therefore, on-site photography should be carried out in strict accordance with legal procedures. The photos taken must reflect the connection between things and show the situation related to the fire. Photos, transcripts, and scene maps should be able to form a whole, thus playing a role in mutually confirming and supplementing each other in the evidence system. In addition to special needs, flexible printing shops can generally be selected for the photo printing of fire scenes, but the photos to be printed must be carefully arranged. The layout of the scene photos should highlight the situation and characteristics of the whole fire scene. Generally, according to the contents of the site photos, they are arranged in the order of orientation, general situation, key (fire) parts and details (fire point), and the arranged photos must be pasted on the cardboard of the site photos. The arranged photos should be marked with red ink to highlight the trace material evidence and show the relationship between several photos. The caption of the photo should be accurate, concise and fluent, and objectively reflect the actual situation on the spot. Analysis, judgment or ambiguous words are not allowed. In addition, we should also pay attention to some details: for example, photos should not have white edges and lace, and appropriate adhesives should be selected (chemically synthesized transparent adhesive should be used, and adhesives such as antiseptic chemical paste should not be used, which will make photos yellow and fade over time). 3. Equipped with necessary photographic equipment and tools, and master the use method. In order to meet the needs of various on-site shooting and complete the task of on-site shooting, necessary equipment must be equipped. One is a camera. You should choose a camera that is not only suitable for shooting scenes, but also can shoot traces and small objects with close-up devices. If possible, it should be equipped with a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens, and it is better to be equipped with a zoom lens and a macro block with a large amplification range to meet the shooting needs of different scenes and traces. The second is a close-up device. In practical work, we often encounter some tiny traces, and some fire dispatchers will feel very helpless. At this time, it is necessary to equip the camera with a close-up device, such as a close-up mirror, a close-up ring, an extended leather cavity and a zoom lens with a macro gear. , and take pictures by zooming in on the object or directly zooming in. The third is a tripod. A tripod with convenient lifting, flexible rotation, light weight and stability should be equipped to meet the needs of various environments and conditions. The fourth is the color filter. Color filters commonly used in this field include red, yellow, green and blue color filters and color correction mirrors. The fifth is lighting equipment. The lighting tools commonly used on site include flash lamp, halogen lamp, flashlight, etc. Pay special attention to whether the lighting equipment is explosion-proof. The sixth is the hood. Used to prevent ambient light from entering the lens, especially when shooting in backlight, a hood should be used in front of the lens. Seventh, the cable is released. Used to avoid camera shake by pressing the shutter button during slow and long exposure. Resulting in heavy image blurring. Eight is the scale. All traces and physical evidence used for inspection, identification or litigation evidence should be photographed on the same plane of the real object to show the size of the original. The scale can be printed with a transparent plastic ruler engraved with centimeters and millimeters. 4. Ensure the organization and work system. First, the establishment of fire accident investigation institutions, so that the fire investigation work has a special business department to grasp; Second, fire investigators should be fully staffed, and the division of labor between fire investigation work and fire investigators should be further refined, so that fire scene photography can truly become an important specialty of fire investigation technology; The third is to establish an incentive mechanism to encourage fire investigators to love their posts and study business knowledge hard; The fourth is to study and formulate the rules of fire scene photography, so that the scene photography work is standardized, standardized, referential and comparable.
