Why is there a shadow of Chaplin in Love and One Step Away?

Micro-love: a pure commercial film without depth.

The reason why I chose to watch the film "Little Love" was to go to Gu Changwei. Gu Changwei enjoys a high reputation in film photography in China, and is known as "the first photographer in China". He has made classic films such as Red Sorghum, Farewell My Concubine and Sunny Days. His first film Peacock won the Silver Bear Award from the jury of Berlin Film Festival, which is an extraordinary shot. As a classmate of Zhang Yimou from the photography department of Nortel 78, it is not surprising that Gu Changwei has succeeded as a photographer and director. After Peacock, Gu Changwei directed beginning of spring and Favorite successively, and three literary films won him many praises in the industry.

More than twenty days ago, I bought tickets for three movies: Taiping Wheel, One Step Away and Micro Love through WeChat movie tickets. I naturally chose these films among many because of their popularity and influence. I didn't think about the release time when I bought the ticket. I didn't know that Little Love was released the day before Christmas until the other day. Then I watched Michael Chen and Angelababy, and I thought it must be a comedy for young couples in the Christmas schedule. I feel a little regretful in an instant, knowing that it is not of great artistic value. I went to the cinema once today, which really confirmed my guess.

It can be seen from the Christmas main file in the release schedule that "Little Love" is a commercial film that pursues commercial profits and targets young men, women and couples. But obviously there is a lack of domineering at the box office, because the popularity of Christmas will not last long. Compared with the first three films, Gu Changwei shed the cloak of literature and art, revealing the essence of business. This also seems to show that when the commercial tide strikes, the directors of traditional literary films have voluntarily surrendered. Generally speaking, this is a commercial film, which is very rough and not in place. The audience who are familiar with Gu Changwei's previous works can't even believe that this film was written by Gu Changwei, and its style, theme, humanistic connotation, lens sense and so on are quite different from previous works. Therefore, "Micro Love" is also destined to be a film that will not be remembered and will eventually be submerged in the endless tide of commercial films with youth themes.

Let's start with the actors in this movie. I have to say that Gu Changwei is a bit tricky in the choice of male and female protagonists, because the Running Man, which is being broadcasted by Zhejiang Satellite TV, has a combination of Chen He and Angelababy, and the high ratings of the program have enhanced the popularity of the film. Most viewers are familiar with Michael Chen because of the network hit drama "ipartment" series, smart little eyes, not handsome appearance, and the funny comedy limited by "ipartment", which is a bit obscene. It is doomed that Michael Chen can't play Gao Fushuai, the absolute youth idol, and his suitable role seems to be the clever little guy whose antics are mixed with the bottom of society in ipartment. Angelababy has been popular for several years. She was born as a young model. Almost all her images are delicate and touching, pure and beautiful. Although she has cooperated with several big names in several well-known films, her popularity has soared, but so far she has not succeeded in shaping a particularly influential role. The First Time, Taiji, Grand Theft Auto and The Rise of Legend are her representative works in recent years. Most viewers know that the baby has undergone plastic surgery, and many knives have been used on his face and body, but he has to admit that the baby's plastic surgery is very successful. Compared with the sausage mouth before plastic surgery, today's baby is beautiful, pure and lovely, and especially photogenic. In front of the camera, Master Huang, the male god of all fans, is prostrated under her pomegranate skirt. Whether today's "success" can erase yesterday's "failure" seems true from the baby's point of view. Why do so many girls want plastic surgery, breast enhancement and hip augmentation? Behind the pursuit of beautiful appearance, it is still a submission to the patriarchal society-a face and a figure, and a better chance to rise to a high position. Who makes this a "face-looking" society!

Let's talk about the plot of love. Sha Guo, Huang Xiaogua and Ma Dai are diaosi screenwriters, photographers and actors of Beipiao respectively. Shaguo spent several years writing a script called Love of a Werewolf, which is going to be made into a movie. In order to cater to the investor, Miss Ma Fupo, and make the script look more commercialized, after receiving 8 million sponsorship from Miss Ma Fupo, the three people's residences also moved to the CBD (Central Business District) in Shuangjing. Miss Ma has been asking for new commercial elements in the script, so the script has been changed to the little bull version, the little fresh version, the king version and the thriller version. Under the pressure of life, he can only cater to Miss Ma's wishes and modify the script on the computer again and again. After moving to a new house, Chen met the car model Chen through WeChat, and they became attached to Pigou Mochow adopted by Chen. Chen Ye is drifting north. With a good face and figure, she constantly appeared in various auto shows, airplanes and advertisements and took photos to repay the mortgage and improve her life. The two people gradually fell in love in the subsequent contact. Later, because the investor changed the hero and the script and screenwriter, Sha Guo and Huang Xiaogua's dream of changing their lives by scripts and movies was shattered, including the betrayal and abandonment of Ma Dai and Xiaoqing. The two men were extremely sad and desperate. Later, Huang Xiaogua sold the house in his hometown and prepared to adapt the love of a werewolf into a drama, but Huang Xiaogua accidentally jumped off the building and committed suicide. Saudi Arabia is disheartened and its economic situation is getting worse and worse. At the same time, Chen Xitian flew around and didn't return his WeChat. Shaguo deleted Chen's WeChat address book, reluctantly gave up his screenwriter career and went to the foot of Wutai Mountain to make a noodle restaurant incognito. When Chen Xifei came back, he found that Shaguo disappeared without a trace, so he changed his name to WeChat and successfully "hooked up" to find Shaguo. I slapped him three times when I met him. The second time I was with Chen, I drove Shaguo back to Beijing in her luxury jeep. So much for the story. At the end of the film, Shaguo was invited to shoot a Chaplin-style black-and-white silent film for Chen's rich friend Monica and her husband, suggesting that Shaguo is still continuing his screenwriter and movie dream.

"Micro Love" is a comedy romance in genre, but because of the change of a script, it incorporates elements such as horror and spoof. Because of business needs, stars such as David and Wang also make guest appearances. Director Gu Changwei and Jiang Ye play deaf-mute roast duck master and landlord elder sister respectively. Although it is a comedy, the "punchline" is not brilliant. After all, I am used to making literary films, and it is a bit confusing to shoot commercial films. There are many implantable advertisements such as WeChat, Apple mobile phone, Red Bull drink and Jian Nanchun in the film, which makes people stunned. Five high-grossing movies, Let the Bullets Fly, Pi, One Step Away, 33 Days of Lovelorn Love and Sorry Thailand, are also mentioned in the film, which shows that some high-grossing movies in recent years, especially those with low cost and high box office, are still very attractive to directors who are good at making literary films, so that even senior filmmakers like Gu Changwei have given up their position and ethics in literary films and surrendered to the field of commercial films. Although the film involves the living conditions of the diaosi class in Beipiao, the lure of money, the betrayal of friends and other contents, these contents have not been deeply developed because of its commercial and comedy style orientation, so that the whole film lacks the depth and highlights of the theme. The film mentions the living conditions and problems of diaosi class, but it doesn't give the answers to the problems. It just ends with the second time around at the end of the film, and there is no mention of how to change the future life situation and throw it to the audience for questioning and thinking. Movies are DreamWorks, and good movies should give hope to the people at the bottom, but Little Love failed. It just shows us how a failed diaosi screenwriter succeeded in catching up with a car model who was originally diaosi but gained popularity and wealth by virtue of her figure and face, or how a male diaosi finally got a soft meal from a female model. The jokes are not prominent, even vulgar, and the theme is not profound. These are the most serious failures of this film. Deliberately joking for naked commercial purposes and catering to the low taste of the public will definitely lose the audience's reputation and attention even if it can get a high box office. In the long run, how to calculate this account? I think "Little Love" will teach Gu Changwei and those directors who are eager for quick success. Looking forward to the return of Gu Changwei literary films!

There is only one step left to seal the gods.

I can probably understand why there was a flood of bad reviews after the premiere two days ago. My personal feeling should be that Jiang Wen's works are below average.

Paying tribute to the godfather at first worried me a little. Because it is too deliberately imitated, whether it is clothing, makeup, props, or even lens position, the tone of the lines is similar. It is rare to encounter such an embarrassing opening title, which inevitably makes people feel sore throat. As a godfather fan, I have to give the opening a bad review. But apart from imitation, this paragraph itself is good. As the opening of the film, it can quickly create an atmosphere, and the explanation of the cause of the incident is both funny and simple. Therefore, it is enough for the godfather to be localized. Who made Zhang, the protagonist in Let the Bullets Fly, taste like a godfather? Perhaps it will continue to surprise people with the film that has always been famous for its sequel.

Then, the style suddenly changed and immediately went astray to Moulin Rouge. This, that, and just the godfather fan completely out of tune. This kind of song and dance also occupies a considerable space. Although it is really decent, and the costumes, dance beauty and lens scheduling are also beautiful, in retrospect, this paragraph has little to do with the plot itself, and it can be completely compressed, basically just singing and dancing for the sake of singing and dancing. But personally, I think this is the most wonderful part of the whole movie, including the 3D effect. If it's a song and dance style all the way to the end, it's not bad Although it is not as good as Moulin Rouge and Singin' in the Rain, it is also quite pleasing to the eye and rare in domestic films.

Unfortunately, the beauty pageant will end eventually, and the plot will continue to move forward, so it enters the most common love scene. Jiang Wen seems to never find the feeling of unrequited love intertwined with hormones in sunny days. Love drama is really lackluster, boring and melodramatic, and it seems that it will be reduced to the level of Tiny Times by M. Guo of Beijing, and I am secretly worried. The most unbearable thing is, why didn't Mazori of Jiang Wen promise Hong Yanying's love in Shu Qi? Is there anything to hide? After watching the movie, I have been thinking about this question, but unfortunately I can't find the answer. In the film, Mazuori only expressed his hasty regret through dialogue, saying that he should have bravely promised Wan, and this pile of shit behind him would not have happened. This, that, there's nothing to hide. It's obviously love rat. It's really unbearable. I used to sleep like a dog, but now I want to leave when I'm done. Ibn will illuminate the moon, and the bright moon will illuminate the ditch. I have deep doubts about this man's character. Apart from the melodramatic plot, there are many special effects in this passage, but they are all iconic domestic slag special effects, which look a bit fake. Fortunately, the special effects of rolling the moon are still excellent, which makes people feel that the money seems to be not wasted.

Well, after experiencing accidental death, escape, self-help, arrest and negotiation, it seems that I have returned to the feeling of "letting bullets fly". There are many lines and fast lines, frequent camera switching and complicated relationship between the parties. Everyone has a small plan for their interests. It's still the original formula, or the familiar taste. But the plot is not solid enough, convincing enough, and a little melodramatic. What I can't understand in particular is why I chose to escape instead of taking other plans. From the godfather's opening, I felt that the horse was very powerful and domineering. I didn't expect to return to my original shape when I was in trouble, a living little red man on the beach. From the plot itself, this paragraph should have been the most brilliant part of the film, but I didn't expect Jiang Wen to handle it so carelessly that he was almost detained all the way. What if it's the Cohen brothers and David? If Finch shoots it, it's probably by going up one flight of stairs.

Seeing that the film is going out of control, I have given up hope. Suddenly, the screen became colorful and the lines became out of tune. Well, if you are familiar with Jiang Wen's works, this is obviously a condensed version of The Sun Also Rises. Somehow, this passage reminds me of Wes for no reason. Anderson The Grand Budapest Hotel. If handled properly, it is enough to save the declining plot. Unfortunately, Jiang Wen doesn't seem to have much progress and promotion than The Sun Also Rises. Fortunately, this passage is interesting and beautiful, and there is a faint shadow of Chaplin's comedy, although it is far from the punch line.

The ending is the most confusing place. Just like the sun rose a few years ago, all kinds of wonders are illogical and inexplicable, but you don't give an explanation, you guess and feel for yourself. I deeply felt Jiang Wen's black belly. This is clearly revenge for that year. In Let the Bullets Fly, I copied the soundtrack of Joe Hisaishi in The Sun Also Rises, but the picture could not be copied. So, I think he pays tribute to himself in the same style at the end of One Step Away. Capricorn is really dark and stingy.

Finally, comment on the actors. Although it's just so-so, if you really want to choose, personally, I think Wang He and Shu Qi are both better performers, but there are too few scenes, and Shu Qi's voice is a bit strange and dramatic. Jiang Wen, Ge You and Zhou Yun made great contributions, but they played a normal role. This article is too noisy, which makes him very angry. Hong Huang and Liu performed better than expected. Na ying is just playing with tickets, not bad. I can't help but say that Zhou Yun is really beautiful. He must love his wife very much because he took such beautiful pictures of her. In addition, there are too many narrators, so it would be nice to be more concise.

To sum it up. Jiang Wen's performance gives me great hope. Sure enough, it will be returned sooner or later. How high the altar used to be, now I can only accept how badly I fell. It seems that only Ang Lee can consistently maintain the high standards of China's directors. This film is to Jiang Wen what Three Guns are to Zhang Yimou, The Promise is to Chen Kaige and The Banquet is to Xiaogang Feng. However, if calculated by the standards of domestic films, I personally think that 7 points is guaranteed, and the highest score can be around 7.5 points. Eight points should be hopeless Congratulations on the success of this film. You can watch it, but you can't watch the series. Of course, it may also be because I only read it once, omitting too many details and metaphors, and maybe I can really interpret something profound and meaningful.

So, who is the happiest person tonight? I think it must be Tsui Hark. Maybe he chuckled in the middle of the night. This is a "trip to the tiger mountain" from heaven. Because the box office estimate before One Step Away was 654.38+08 billion, according to the current situation, it should be lowered to below 654.38+00 billion, and most of the missing box office will be pocketed by the latter. Therefore, the name still has a doorway. You see, a good-tempered movie was originally the annual box office crown of domestic movies, and now there is really only "One Step Away". Master Jiang is only one step away from sealing the gods. Alas.
