Eight suggestions for taking good portraits of private houses with themes

Lead: photography can be a thematic transmission, combining common elements to show what the work wants to express. So is private portrait photography. This topic will take my group of works "ecstasy" as an example to share some suggestions on portrait shooting. Simply throw a brick to attract jade, welcome comments and comments from the audience ~

Take a good portrait of a private house with a theme. Eight suggestions. 1. How to choose a suitable room space?

Well, you can tell by reading the words that you are looking for a house. However, this type of photography can also go to some uninhabited ruins and other places, but this situation is not discussed here, only the rooms in the hotel.

Generally speaking, hotel rooms have high, middle and low grades, depending on what style you plan to shoot. A low-grade room is almost a bed, a set of seats and a toilet. The decoration is relatively simple, and there are not many decoration objects. Decadent style and simple style can be suitable. If the price is higher, it will be much richer in terms of room style and decoration diversity. I like hotels with different themes, apartment style, retro style and modern style. Moreover, the suite is spacious and can have scenes such as the living room balcony for shooting. Does not necessarily mean that the more expensive the room, the better. You should follow the principle of putting the theme of your work first, and choose one that suits you or matches the style of the model.

When choosing a room, you can go to some regular hotel reservation websites first, where there are many pictures of the interior of the room. Choose the one that suits you slowly, and then compare the price with the convenience of transportation.

The two most important points of private photography are to find the right model and the right room.

Second, choose a good time period and hurry up.

In my opinion, you can shoot at all times during the day, so you don't have to worry about the direct sunlight at noon like outdoor. If the floor is not short and there is no building shelter, open the curtains at noon to let the sunshine in, and the light is the best. The oblique light in the afternoon and evening is also excellent, but if it is used indoors, the time is short and the light is a little weak. If it is cloudy, there is basically no need to rely on oblique lighting at night. At this time, the best time period should be noon. Friends with flashing lights or planning to come at night, that's another story.

Third, about communication with models.

This question should be frequently asked in portrait shooting, and what kind of communication should there be between two people, because it will directly affect the mood and posture when shooting. In fact, private shooting will not be particularly embarrassing. When you are filming, you won't feel embarrassed. All you want is how to shoot the picture in front of you and how to arrange the next picture.

For example, this is actually my first time to meet a model. It was a little slow at first, but after a long time, I gradually felt that there was no difference in peacetime shooting. I don't speak Mandarin very well, and sometimes I can't express myself completely when shooting, but I must be patient, tell the model what pose I want to pose slowly, and give a little demonstration, which is actually enough to understand. In a word, don't be shy, boldly tell the model the pose and effect you want, and suggest that you try to shoot it again, which is better than regretting what kind of picture you didn't shoot at that time. You can't make a novel if you are afraid of trouble and pursue convenience.

After taking the photos you want to take, you might as well ask the model if she has any other ideas. After listening to the opinions, you think you can try it, or you can take good photos, with one more person and one more head.

Fourth, find the shooting point in a limited space.

To do this well, it is most necessary to arrive at the meeting place in advance. You can arrive earlier than the model, or study the room carefully when the model is putting on makeup, and look around like a thief. It is best not to let go of any corner. This is your best chance to know the shooting angle. It is suggested to follow the order, such as from the window to the dresser, then to the bedside and then to the wardrobe. When observing, you can think of the pictures to be taken later. Look back and forth a few times, and basically you will have a good idea about the next shooting, which largely avoids the unsmooth transition of the shooting scene, so you don't have to spend time planning the next one after shooting one scene. When light and shadow are fleeting, it will waste time.

While looking for the scene angle, you can also arrange the items in the room that should not be in the camera, such as the restaurant menu of the hotel, the fire extinguisher in the corner or some leaflets, so that they can receive them temporarily. Otherwise, all these messy things will be taken, and the picture grade and feeling will be much worse.

V. Determine the theme around the theme

Personally, I think that the theme presented by a group of works is the place that can best highlight my personal thoughts, otherwise it will be a group of chaotic films no matter how well shot. In addition to paying attention to pre-shooting, this can also be operated with themes in post-processing.

Take my group for example. In fact, I didn't have it in my heart before and during the filming? Ecstasy? The idea of this theme is to add something that belongs to my style later, such as tone and atmosphere, which will not be bad. Of course, these films are also based on good enough pre-shooting, ensuring aesthetic feeling and various angles to choose from, not to say that they are all pinned on the later stage.

So this exercise can refine your ability to edit photos, and how to make a reasonable choice from all photos, so that these selected photos can be combined into the theme you want. In fact, each group of works should represent your ideas in different periods and have their own growth trajectory. At that time, I was addicted to Hitchcock movies. At that time, my mind was basically full of fragments of those movies. Then I want to do a group of visual communication that feels a little messy, the picture is fragmented and a little dizzy. Finally, I decided to quote Hitchcock's film "Vertigo" as the name of this group of works.

Sixth, post-production ideas

With the theme, there will be a direction in the later stage, and there is no need for one tone in the east and one tone in the west. Come and go. I think the specific later steps will vary from film to film, and you may not be able to make an exact one according to the instructions. It is better to teach people to fish than to teach people to fish, so I will share my thoughts here. Roughly select the selected photos? Determine the style? Late color matching? Modification of details? Determine the order.

1, determine the overall tone of the work.

There are too many styles of works now. First of all, establish a feeling you want, or a cross definition of your style, small and fresh, decadent, retro and fashionable. Like this group, in the early stage, I deliberately chose a room with retro style. Later, I still want to create a retro feeling with dark pictures, and then maintain a sense of charm in tone. The main color is red. In repeated debugging, I lowered the color saturation to a negative value, and found that besides avoiding glare, there was an old feeling, and the dark corner treatment was more profound.

2. Disturb vision through layer cutting.

After you have a formed tone, you should consider how to create a feeling of confusion. What I use here is to cut out multiple layers and stagger them up and down. The general practice is to copy the original image and use it on the copy of the layer? Select the layer you want to cut with the marquee tool and right-click. Through the replication layer? Then set the transparency of this layer to about 50%, and then use? Mobile tools? Interlaced with the lower floor, so it looks like the picture is fragmented.

Actually, I think I'm in this group of works? Not broken enough? Because trying to cut too many layers is too confusing, it is difficult for the general public to accept it. Finally, it's enough to be conservative and just do a little processing, and a little psychedelic feeling is enough. Some people say it works? Dynamic blur? Filters and erasers can also achieve this effect, but I think there are still differences. Dynamic blur is just a layer-by-layer blurred picture, but when the layers are cut and misplaced, you can see several layers at the same time, giving you the illusion that you don't know which layer is the basic prototype.

Of course, how to cut and overlap cutting will confuse the eyes and also need to be considered. You can keep trying and find the best way. This step is a step to refine your imagination and creativity.

Use? Box selection tool? Pull out the area, right? Through the replication layer? Create a new sublayer immediately.

You can move or rotate these debris layers, and multiple layers can be staggered and overlapped.

3. Add details to the picture.

Generally, I will add scratches to my retro movies to increase the effect of doing old things. At present, many people are using filters to expose alien skin. I have tried, but the solution is a bit troublesome and has not been successfully installed. I usually use the method of layer superposition. I can usually collect some design materials, which can be superimposed with photo layers, and then choose the appropriate superposition method and transparency.

4. The order of pictures is also particular.

It's not good to treat the whole group like this, otherwise the whole group may really get dizzy, so I'm going to arrange the order of the photos so as not to intersperse some photos in disorder, so there are? When it's true, is it true? The taste has changed. Then, pay attention to the continuity of the scene. Don't let the scene sit on the chair for a while, the next one suddenly walks to the window and the next one returns to the chair. Pay attention to the logic of scene switching.

Seventh, try to make a montage puzzle.

In fact, this is a temporary idea. At that time, it seemed that these treatments alone were not enough. In addition, I like watching movies very much, so I want to make a montage collage photo similar to a poster as a node in the whole group of works. Montage is a way to connect the cut lens groups to reflect the author's theme intention. In fact, when screening photos, some photos are still unsuccessful. These photos may lack details when they are enlarged individually, but they are1+1> The feeling of 2, these all depend on your photo combination processing and editing methods.
