As an individual, how can we achieve leap-forward growth?

In recent days, I have read the classic book "Transition" again, which is quite rewarding. The subtitle of this book is "Skills to Become a Master". I think the content of this book is enough to bear. I think anyone wants to be a master. As a book on how to improve your ability and cognition, you need to read and think repeatedly, practice constantly, and go back and forth constantly in order to gain something continuously.

What is "transition"?

It is a leap-forward growth and a sudden growth.

For example, it is like boiling water. When the water temperature is between 0 and 99 degrees, its temperature will rise. It won't turn into steam, and there is no qualitative change. Once it reaches 100 degrees, it directly changes from liquid to gas, with no intermediate state. This change is a transition.

In fact, "transition" is everywhere, all the time, and widely exists in nature. Life phenomena in nature, including our human life, are also formed by transition. From inorganic matter to organic matter, it is a sudden change. It is a transitional process from single cell to multi-cell, to mammals and then to human beings.

All changes are mutations after stimulation. There is no intermediate state. Applying the concept of "transition" to self-growth is the greatest inspiration and gain from this book.

In the past, the main idea of thinking about self-growth was to rely on personal efforts, and only by making superhuman efforts can we have good returns. This view can be said to be self-iteration, relying on the spontaneous energy of the self, and the method is mainly self-effort.

The author believes that the theory and method of "leap" can be applied to personal growth, because in today's society with scientific and technological progress and rapidly increasing information, it is necessary to make good use of the energy of scientific and technological systems to achieve rapid upgrading by leaps and bounds, which is the correct method of self-growth.

Leaping self-growth can be understood as including three levels. They are: cognitive transition, ability transition and energy level.

What is cognitive change?

It is when you think that your knowledge and ability are not enough to support your goals, then you will continue to study and read. When a certain concept or a certain paragraph suddenly touches you one day, you will suddenly have a new understanding. At this time, your cognition suddenly improves, and you will feel a brand-new vision. Many troubles seem to become clear, and you will feel suddenly enlightened. This is a cognitive leap.

So what is the ability to jump?

That is, you continue to accumulate and practice, meet people and do things according to your newly realized methods, and then reserve your energy. However, it takes time, and it must have remained unchanged for a long time, even if you feel like giving up. Until one day, you suddenly found that your ability and level have been upgraded to a higher level. So this is the second stage, called the ability transition.

What is energy level transition?

The transition from ability to energy level is actually a personal value. A process that develops from the inside out.

You improve your cognition and ability through continuous cognitive leap and ability leap. However, it will take time to present it to the outside world.

You will change your job or even your career and choose a new development direction. After these changes, your worth, ability and level will rise several steps at once. You will look at the problem on a higher platform and on another level, and you will do things with completely different strength, which is energy level jump.

When I first read this book, the concept of "transition" and the concepts of cognitive transition, ability transition and energy level transition in the book gave me a great impact.

When you don't have this concept in your mind, naturally you won't use this concept to think. With this concept, it will be very different to bring it into the concept to think.

"Personal growth" is a subject that each of us faces. In the previous cognitive framework, self-growth is more of a process of continuous self-effort, and it is a process of self-improvement, self-iteration.

Even if quantitative change often leads to qualitative change, it is easier to be understood as a linear development process, without the mutation and excitation contained in the concept of "transition" and without the meaning of intermediate state at all.

"Transition" is not only a concept, it can give us a different perspective and confidence for personal growth, and give us a practical methodology. Each of us can find our own compass, our own direction and methodology in this complex and changeable society.

As far as cognitive leap is concerned, I think most people will feel hit by a certain point of view or a certain paragraph.

In another book, Knocking Down the Wall in Thinking, I was deeply shocked by many viewpoints in it. It turns out that there are so many inexplicable imprisonments in each of us that limit our nature and growth.

So, from then on, I began to reflect on myself and change my practice. Until you see the following passage:

The reason why this sentence is touching and shocking may be because it writes your own voice.

Come to think of it, it's true. The brain is used for thinking, but thinking consumes too much energy, so gene selection avoids energy consumption and thinks less. This is more humane. Really valuable ideas and effective personal growth methods are actually anti-human.

So, I know what I should do. So, I keep learning, try to improve myself bit by bit, and then do it bit by bit. Even if I feel uncomfortable and the result is not good, I will do it and get out of my comfort zone.

Over the past few years, I have made many attempts, and I still have a lot to gain from trying to motivate myself to satisfy my narcissism.

For example, I have achieved continuous fitness, and at the same time inspired more friends to exercise with me, making my body better and more energetic. Besides, I also got rid of the bad habit of smoking in the right way, making my body healthier, gaining more psychological gains and being recognized by more friends and family. The key is to feel like a better person.

In terms of cognition, what we used to call learning is endless. In fact, I later realized that this is not a question of learning, but a question of learning and obtaining, that is, improving myself through continuous practice. Such a process from cognitive improvement to ability improvement and then to energy level improvement is the correct way to grow by leaps and bounds in one day.

Go your own way, and the results will naturally appear.

In 2020, many changes have taken place in cognition and ability, and the pace is very fast, which makes me unable to write continuously. This is also something that needs to be supplemented in cognition and improved in ability. Do it first, then do it well. Cheer for yourself.

Tomorrow, I will attend the annual meeting of Guizhou Young Photographers Association, and feel endless vitality with young people. Thank you for your trust and continue to be employed as the legal adviser of the association.

Is to remember.
