I want to briefly introduce the novel The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Not a movie! !
The Lord of the Rings (also translated as The Lord of the Rings) is an epic fantasy novel by British writer john ronald reuel tolkien, the originator of modern orthodox fantasy literary novels, and also triggered the game and literature prosperity of Dungeons and Dragons.
The Lord of the Rings was first published in 1954 to 1955. It is a sequel to Tolkien's early work The Hobbit, which has been expanded in depth and breadth. It has been translated into 38 languages.
Tolkien originally intended to publish a big book, but his idea failed to come true because of the shortage of paper after World War II. In the end, the novel can only be published in three volumes: The Lord of the Rings-The Lord of the Rings (I and II), The Lord of the Rings-The Twin Towers (III and IV) and The Lord of the Rings trilogy-The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (five, six, six appendices and four indexes).
Because these three novels are so widely distributed, this work is usually called the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But strictly speaking, this is not right, because its conception is a complete work.
The 7-volume collection published in Britain follows Tolkien's six alternate articles, but the appendix at the end of the sixth article is a separate volume. The name of each volume of the trilogy we are seeing now was decided after his death, which integrated Tolkien's thoughts, the title of each article and the whole work.
The story of The Lord of the Rings tells that the protagonist frodo baggins the Hobbit got the ring from his cousin Bilbo, and Bilbo's good friend Gandalf instructed Frodo to take the ring to Elrond, the elf king. Elon called representatives from all sides to join the Elon meeting, and discussed how to deal with the Lord of the Rings, and told everyone that if the Lord of the Rings returned to Soren, Middle-earth would perish. Finally, the Lord of the Rings Expedition consists of Aragon of Gondor, Legolas of the Dark Forest, Gandalf the Wizard, Gimli of Moria, Boromir of Gondor, Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Hobbits of Merry and Shire. The purpose is to take the ring to the dark mordor and destroy it where sauron made it.

Adapted works
Lord of the Rings movies
The earliest film adapted from The Lord of the Rings was The Lord of the Rings (1978, J.R.R Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings), directed by animation master Ralph Bakshi. The film was originally scheduled to be released in two parts (so the original title was The Lord of the Rings I). The story of the first part included The Lord of the Rings and a part of A Tale of Two Cities.
The second work, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (1980), is a special TV animation program produced by Rankin Bass. He also produced a similar work, The Hobbit, in 1977.
The third film is adapted from the The Lord of the Rings film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson and produced by New Line Cinema. These three films are The Lord of the Rings: The Messenger of the Lord of the Rings (2006,54,38+0), The Lord of the Rings: A Tale of Two Cities (2002) and The The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Among them, The Lord of the Rings: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is the second movie with a box office of 65.438+0.997 after Titanic. Like Titanic, this film won 654.38+065.438+0 Oscar, including "Best Film". The trilogy film successfully made more people know about The Lord of the Rings's series of works.
Version difference
The first song of the Lord of the Rings: Frodo and others meet Tom Bombardier in the forest. Tom's power beyond the influence of the Lord of the Rings was deleted in the movie version and only mentioned in the second part. When he went to rivendell, he was greeted by the high elf Grofindale, not the elf screen star alvin toffler. Aragon pretends to be the heir of isildur, and the movie version describes the contradiction that he inherited the blood of isildur who plundered the Lord of the Rings. The Fine Sword has been recast in the first song, and it is Aragon's sword from beginning to end. The film version was recast by King Elon only in the trilogy. In the novel version, Aragon is the adopted son of Elon, and King Elon does not object to his association with alvin toffler, but reminds him that he has the task of being a king. The movie version didn't mention that Aragon was raised by King Elon, and opposed his relationship with alvin toffler.
The Lord of the Rings: Pippin and Merry got rid of their pursuers when they entered the French forest, instead of being chased into the forest before they met Shuhu. But after defeating Eisinger, two men came across the reborn Gandalf. It was not Shu Hu who took them to see Gandalf. It is Gandalf's suggestion to enter Helmet Valley and stick to Horn Castle, while the movie version of Gandalf opposes sticking to Helmet Valley. At the Shu Ren Conference, Shu Ren had decided to declare war on Eisinger, while the movie version chose to avoid the war and declare war only when provoked. In the Battle of Helmet Valley, the last reinforcements were Askin Brand, the second marshal of a title of generals in ancient times, and Eumer, the third marshal, followed him into Helmet Valley. In the movie version, the positions of two people are reversed. In the film, the clip of Merry and Pippin living with tree people in Fagong Forest was deleted, and the role of Kuaizhi was deleted. In the movie, faramir was tempted by the Lord of the Rings, so Frodo and others were taken to Sirian, Iraq. In the original book, faramir rejects the Lord of the Rings and leads them to Mordor from Sirian, Iraq.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: The movie version deleted the pirate scene of the undead attacking Perag and started a war in the Palano Plain instead. In the novel version, Minas Tirith asked Luo Han for help early, and Luo Han also promised to send troops immediately; In the movie version, Gondor refuses to ask Lohan for help. Lohan also refused to reinforce Minas Tirith at first, and Gandalf and Pippin were obstacles to promoting cooperation between the two countries. The movie version deleted faramir's courtship to Owen and their engagement at King Théoden's funeral banquet. In the movie version, the battle by the water was also deleted, all the Hobbits returned to their hometown safely, and the scene of them returning to rivendell to visit Bilbo was also deleted.
