What books do teachers generally recommend when studying art abroad?

Off-topic, if you choose a writer to read, you should be able to understand some of his general artistic views, such as Benjamin. The works of art in the era of mechanical reproduction are must-see, and the disappearance of "charm" has also been mentioned in several other works, such as A Brief History of Photography and The Storyteller, all of which can be read, and the length is not too lengthy. Regarding the language itself and the human language mentioned above, the translator's task should also be reading and one-way street. But like the origin of German tragedy, I can't stand it. ...

For another example, Berliod, president of the Paris Academy of Fine Arts, put forward the concept of "relationship aesthetics" through "Relationship Aesthetics" 20 years ago, and talked about the increasing emphasis on the relationship between the audience and the exhibition and the importance of "participation" in contemporary art, but Misson criticized the so-called "pseudo-participation" in this art field in "The Nightmare of Participation". Berliod's latest book is Afterproducts. Basically, Groys also wrote some articles about participation. I recommend the publishing house's series of books on contemporary art, which are very pocket-sized. They are all recent articles on contemporary art, such as Everything About Curating by curator O 'Briest and Chronology by birnbaum. By the way, Groys, new things and media phenomenology are all good, but the definition of the latter's personal feeling is somewhat complicated, which may be aimed at systematic and academic analysis.

Another example is Ba Taye's History of Pornography and Foucault's History of Sex, which Sade can watch together. Or Zizek's "The Noble Object of Ideology", which is very popular in China, can be read with Lacan and Marx ... Basically, the list of books is not given by others, but the author of a monograph is quoted by others, from which you can find ways that you should continue reading or learn more about it.
