It can only be said that it is equivalent to 85mm focal length after multiplying by 1.6 times coefficient, but the viewing angle is still 50mm, and the background blur ability will not be enhanced because of this coefficient. I recommend that you take an 85mmf 1.8 lens (85mmf 1.2L is good or too expensive). This shot is almost called "Canon's red circle has no red circle", and the portrait is excellent. Before I bought 85mmf 1.2 head, it was always my main portrait head. Let's talk about 50mm two heads, 1.8, which is really cost-effective, but its weakness is that there is no ultrasonic motor, which leads to slow focusing speed and loud focusing sound, and the front lens group will rotate when focusing. Its Jiao Wai linearity is strong, which is not as soft as 1.4 head, and the imaging of 1.8 head is hard and not delicate enough. Therefore, the overall performance of 1.8 header is definitely better than that of 1.4 header. This comparison is not entirely a comparison with the price. 50mm head also has 1.2L and the like, and the price is 10,000, which is several times that of 1.4 head. Of course, you can't say that its performance is several times that of 1.4 header.

5, the new red hundred micro, specializing in macro, although it can also be a guest portrait, but after all, there is a specialization in the art, it is not a bowl of rice for portrait photography, because the macro head has the necessary characteristics of macro photography such as very sharp imaging, flat phase field, large contrast and rich colors, which are not suitable for portrait photography. Portrait photography needs to be delicate but not too sharp, with strong three-dimensional sense, soft colors and small contrast, which is of course related, and it is no problem to make a guest portrait with a macro lens occasionally. Some movie friends also deliberately filmed the old man who had experienced many vicissitudes with a macro head, which is symptomatic.
