1. Open the "Side Installed Application" function, open the setup application of Windows 10 system, click "Update and Security-Developer Options" in turn, and select "Side Installed Application" in the right column;

After installing a large number of UWP applications, it is inevitable to face the problem of how to manage them. Making good use of Windows 10 start menu and dynamic tile function will help to use UWP applications more efficiently.

All installed UWP applications will be placed in the application list of the Windows 10 system start screen. If you know exactly which application to open, you can easily find the target application by the first letter (the search function in the start menu can also quickly find the application).

In addition to the application list, make rational use of the tile area in the right half of the start screen to further improve the use efficiency of UWP applications. In order to increase the display area of the start menu, you can navigate to "Settings-Personalization-Start" and turn on "Use Full Screen Start Screen" to make the whole start menu occupy the full screen area.

Open the right-click menu option of any application and select "Fix to Start Screen", and the target application will appear in the tile area. Users need to group or sort them. Press and hold the application icon with the left mouse button, and you can drag it at will. You can also refer to the mobile phone launcher, create a folder for the specified purpose/application scenario, and put similar applications in this specific folder.

Some UWP applications also support dynamic effects. After opening, some specific contents will be displayed in the application icon box, and users can preview the information in the application without clicking to open the application. For example, Microsoft's weather application can directly preview the local weather by opening the dynamic tile function.

Because the UWP application is restricted to run in a virtual sandbox environment named App Container, the application cannot access localhost. Even if the computer starts the proxy, the UWP application can't access the local proxy server, and there will be "unable to connect to the service you need at present, please check the network connection or try again later".

Using CheckNetIsolation.exe tool of Windows 10 system or third-party software Fiddler can release the network isolation of UWP application.

Open the registry editor of the system and find the path HKEY _ current _ user \ software \ class \ local settings \ software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ current version \ appcontainer \ mapping. The installed folders named after the application with SID value are listed on the left side of Registry Editor, the DisplayName item on the right side is the application name, and the SID value of the target application is recorded on the left side.

Open the CMD command panel and enter the following command, where SID is the previously obtained SID value, and the command line window prompts "Done", indicating that the network isolation of the target application has been lifted.

CheckNetIsolation.exe loopback exemption -a -p=SID

Use Fiddler software, select "WinConfig" in the top menu bar, check the application that needs to be excluded from network isolation in the pop-up window, and finally click "Save Changes".

Users often use some audio and video UWP applications, which will produce a large number of cache files, which will lead to the increasingly tight disk space of the system. Using the reset function of the application itself can reduce the cache, but at the same time it will restore the default settings of the application. Another method is to manually open the application file directory and delete the configuration files and cache files (INetCache, INetCookies and INetHistory) located in the Packages\AC folder, but this method is slightly cumbersome.

In order to clear all caches with one click, use the key combination Win+R to open the running window, enter wsreset, and the interface of Microsoft App Store will automatically pop up after entering the car. After a while, the cleaning was successful.
