Does curiosity really kill cats?
A long time ago, a cat decided to go out for a trip because she was tired of the days of "clothes open her mouth and rice opens her mouth". On the way, I heard that there is a jungle ahead, which is very interesting. All kinds of animals live there. It can be said to be an animal paradise. So the cat decided to explore the jungle. But unlike the beautiful imagination at first, the jungle world is not as harmonious as imagined. The jungle looks quiet and peaceful on the outside, but inside it is a jungle with cruel but simple survival rules, as long as you are strong enough.
Faced with such a world, it is undoubtedly a hell for cats who are used to their owners putting food in a fixed position every once in a while. The cat began to regret it and couldn't help thinking of the famous saying "curiosity kills the cat". Do you want to practice this sentence by yourself today?
No, I can't give up. I remember seeing a buddy just like me the other day. Everyone calls him "Tiger Brother", and he lives better than himself. Wherever he went, other animals were scared away. I'm just a little smaller than myself. However, I have an advantage in speed. As long as I eat more food, make myself bigger and continue to hone my speed, I believe I can also get the respect of other animals.
So the cat began to learn to imitate the hunting skills of Tiger Brother, and kept trying and practicing. Although he almost died several times, he finally saved the day. In the end, the cat became a dangerous animal in the forest after Tiger Brother because of its agile "posture" and was respected by other animals.
Similarly, whether it is work or life, when we are used to a rhythm, it is easy to have a sense of boredom.
For example, if you work in a fixed position for more than one year, you will basically be familiar with the responsibilities of the position and feel that you can do anything. It is a waste of time to stay in this position. At this time, it is easy to feel bored and feel that the work is not challenging. Many people may give up their jobs because this job can't bring them fun.
In fact, the important reason here is because we feel that we are used to our existing jobs, know everything and have nothing to learn. Since we can all do it, why should we stay in this position?
We need to find new stimuli and explore more possibilities. The cat seems to be tired of the easy life and goes into the jungle to seek excitement and satisfy his curiosity.
However, in real life, not everyone can adapt to the new working environment quickly. Many times, it is difficult for them to make a particularly big breakthrough in their new jobs because of insufficient accumulation of previous work. Basically, they are all similar jobs. Because they choose to escape rather than explore when they encounter difficulties, they may choose to give up after finding a new job. So as to keep falling into this "cycle" and finally really "kill" yourself!
If you want to get rid of this state, you need to think from another angle, whether there are other possibilities, and whether there are other options besides job hopping. Is it possible that just because you don't want to make a new breakthrough in your current position, you temporarily lose your goal and become at a loss? Why others can persist in their posts for several years, and what attracts them to persist for a long time.
With these questions, you start asking those people, and the answers may be varied. Some people have no other choice, some people are happy to find a job, some people have hope for the future, and so on. At this point, you can start thinking about whether these reasons can support you to stick to it, and if not, try to change your job again.
When encountering problems, asking why often brings us different gains. Maybe we will be stumped by ourselves in the end, so we can take action and work hard with this goal until we can solve it ourselves.
Similarly, for reading, if you start with questions, you will gain more than reading blankly. Because there is a problem, so in order to solve the problem, we will focus on reading, rather than aimlessly, wherever we study. Then you will find that a book may get thicker and thicker, and eventually you may feel that you don't read it.
Of course, we should also avoid falling into a misunderstanding here, that is, we feel that there must be problems to be solved before reading. That was not the case. Many books may not solve the problems we are facing now, but they may be used in the future.
Just like the example of Li Xiaolai shared before, when he studied computer knowledge, it was not to solve any problems, but because of his interest. As a result, this knowledge played a great role in his later career, because the computer foundation he laid at that time made him know more computer knowledge than his peers, and also helped him study better.
Just like most people think math is useless, but if you learn probability, you won't pin your hopes of getting rich on the so-called lottery, because the probability of winning the prize will be so small that you will despair. Similarly, when you know what an "independent event" is, you won't feel that you will lose this time, and you will win more chances next time, because the events before and after are independent and have no connection, so you won't blindly lose one yuan this time, and then gamble two yuan next time, hoping to lose everything at once, because in the end you may lose everything.
Of course, curiosity will kill the cat, but it is also possible to discover another interesting world because of curiosity.
So is life. Don't simply be limited by the inherent thinking. Think about whether there are other possibilities. Maybe you will find different fun.

Every time I order takeout, I always feel that other people's takeout will be more delicious, so I will change it to my colleagues next time. As a result, my colleague also ordered the one he ate before. When I saw my colleague's take-away, I thought, "Should his be better?"
