What is the World Wide Web?

World Wide Web, usually referred to as Web for short, is called "World Wide Web" and "World Wide Web" in Chinese.

It is divided into Web client and Web server programs. WWW allows Web clients (ordinary browsers) to access and browse pages on a Web server. Is a system composed of many linked hypertext, accessed through the Internet.

In this system, everything useful is called "resource"; And is identified by a global uniform resource identifier (URI); These resources are transmitted to users through hypertext transfer protocol, and the latter obtains resources by clicking on links.

The World Wide Web is different from the Internet. The World Wide Web is just one of the services that the Internet can provide, and it is also a service running on the Internet.

Extended data:

The difference between World Wide Web and Internet:

1. The Internet was born in the United States in 1969. Originally named "ARPANET", it was a military research system, and later became an academic system connecting computers of universities and institutions of higher learning. It has developed into an open global computer network system covering five continents 150 countries, with many service providers.

Ordinary computer users only need a personal computer to connect with an Internet service provider through a telephone line to access the Internet. But the Internet is not the only one in the world.

2. The World Wide Web is a collection of countless websites and web pages, which together constitute the most important part of the Internet (the Internet also includes e-mail, newsgroups and newsgroups).

It is actually a collection of multimedia, connected by hyperlinks. What we usually watch online through a web browser is the content of the World Wide Web. I will introduce some Esperanto terms about the World Wide Web and browsing the World Wide Web in future posts.
