Facing the sea, what does it mean to have warm flowers in spring?

Facing the Sea, Spring Blossoms is a famous lyric work written by Haizi on January 13th, 1989. Two months later, Haizi committed suicide by lying on the track near Shanhaiguan. I may have decided that I was going to die when I wrote this poem.

Facing the sea, spring blossoms

Author: Haizi

From tomorrow on, be a happy person

Feed horses, chop firewood and travel around the world

From tomorrow on, care about food and vegetables

I have a house facing the sea, and spring blossoms

From tomorrow on, Correspond with every relative

Tell them my happiness

The lightning of happiness told me

I will tell everyone

Give every river and mountain a warm name

Stranger, I also wish you a bright future

May you have a lover, and jack shall have Jill

May you be on earth.

The author wants to say that all those happiness are yours, and "I" only want to face the sea and bloom in spring. "I" don't want those so-called bright future, all shall be well, jack shall have Jill, and that happiness. I just want to live my own life. Facing the sea, spring blooms, expressing a kind of broad mind that is self-contained and detached from everything. It is also a disdain for the secular.
