Image Carving Time —— Teacher Jiao Changqing's Photography Story

Little Qin Wei.

The picture shows Jiao Changqing, chairman of Wuhai Energy Photographers Association and Inner Mongolia Photographers Association.

In Wuhai photography, Jiao Changqing took the most photos of the mining area and Gande Mountain. For Jiao Changqing, photography is not a simple reproduction of life and records, but a process of pursuing artistic creation.

? Jiao Changqing began to contact photography from 1979. The earliest contact was in Gou Ping mining area, when the unit belonged to several business departments. In order to respond to the trend of the times, many small shops and photo studios came into being. His career began with Seagull 120 in the photo studio. Follow the master, take ID photos and all kinds of family photos. He pasted distinctive photos in his notebook and recorded the exposure and sensitivity of each photo like a student, and a solid photographic foundation was formed at that time.

Familiarity and profound understanding of photographic equipment, fostering strengths and avoiding weaknesses, also require basic knowledge of photography and aesthetic cultivation, and more importantly, long-term experience accumulation. As the saying goes, work will come naturally, and photography is not easy to get. He said that shooting more and choosing more is the secret of photography. Taking more photos means practicing more and accumulating more experience from the perspective of photography. Specifically, we might as well try a few more shots to win more and choose the best.

Summarizing his career for more than forty years, Jiao Changqing's greatest feeling is the sense of time and continuity, which is also Jiao Changchun's unique understanding of photography. During his shooting career, he filmed Gande Mountain for more than five years, Wuhai City for nine years and mining area for more than thirty years.

In Jiao Changqing's eyes, photography not only has historical value, but also has more important social significance. These familiar mining areas and life around them have rich connotations for photographer Jiao Changqing. All photos of the "Memory of Gou Ping" photo exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of reform were provided by Jiao Changqing, Chairman of Photographers Association of Wuhai Energy Company and member of Inner Mongolia Photographers Association. He said that those vivid images live in time, and eternal time also lives in these images.

The continuous attention to one thing should not be just a simple moment, but a long-term continuous observation, which gradually formed his unique photography style. A quadrangular tree will shoot green buds in spring, flowers in full bloom in summer and unique beauty in autumn and winter in the sunset; Rock sheep follow-up shooting, several times a week, several years, hundreds of times up the mountain. He is very familiar with every group of rock sheep and photographs every moment of their sleeping, courtship, foraging and jumping off the cliff. He has more than 400 photos, of which only one scene is the blue sheep in the snowy area. In the tens of thousands of photos taken in the old mining area, the buildings, belt corridors, roadways, miner's lamps, underground working scenes, simple smiles and the changes of people's homes in the mining area have witnessed the development of the old mining area.

Speaking of photography skills, he said that when shooting sports such as playing ball, we should shoot the main characters at a slow speed to blur the crowd of athletes, thus strengthening the dynamic movement of the picture. Combined with reality, the picture looks more vivid and the artistic effect is stronger. When shooting close-ups of low shrubs such as quadrangles, he deliberately adjusted the zoom ratio to the maximum; Once he filmed Gande Mountain on the other side of Wuhai Lake. In order to create a spray effect, make the composition more perfect, and let the lake occupy most of the picture, he took off his clothes and squatted in the lake to shoot at a low angle. The water surface is only a dozen centimeters away from the camera, and shooting at such a low angle creates a magnificent splash effect. In order to adjust the aperture and slow down the shutter speed to make the dynamic lake in the scene clear, he lay in the water for nearly two hours. The choice of angle and composition is very important, and some angles are chosen under unexpected circumstances.

Jiao Changqing, who retired in 2065438+2008, has more time for professional photography. Whenever he has time, he runs to Gander Mountain. On Mount Gandell, he was fascinated by the dim colors of dead trees, moss on stones and running rock sheep. After walking many times on the mountain, he can find several shooting points with the best angles and effects. Every time I bring dry food and water, I have to go up the mountain all day.

Jiao Changqing said that the greatest skill of photography is not afraid of hard work and patience. Cars in the mountains can't get in. He took water, dry food and photographic equipment all over the mountain to find the trace of the rock sheep. Sometimes, I can't wait for the rock sheep for a day, so I run away for nothing. It's cold in winter, and you can't wear too thick, otherwise it's inconvenient to move. The frozen person shivers and his hands are numb, so he still rubs his hands and continues to shoot.

Once, after seeing him from a distance, a little rock sheep not only didn't run, but stared at him seriously for a while, then turned and walked towards him. Jiao Changqing is worried about scaring it. I didn't dare to move for more than ten minutes, but this curious little rock sheep, standing not far away, walked around him and walked past him.

? Beautiful appearance, hidden deep. Jiao Changqing has a photo of "Fog Lock Gande Mountain", which has such charm. The Gander Mountain in the distance is more tall and majestic in a fog. This picture with exquisite composition and profound meaning was well received by friends as soon as it appeared. In pursuit of perfect composition, he almost paid the price of his life, and was dubbed as a "valuable" and "life-worth" photo by his friends. After walking for more than an hour, I stood on another hillside far from the main peak and took some photos. I found a big shrub with red leaves on the cliff behind me. So he used his hands and feet again and climbed for more than forty minutes before climbing on the red plant. In foggy days, the momentum of Gander Mountain is magnificent. He finished filming selflessly, regardless of anything. When the fog cleared, he found a cliff under his feet. As long as his feet move a few centimeters, he will fall off the cliff. After breaking out in a cold sweat, sitting on the cliff, he calmed his nerves and slowly descended the mountain.

Photography is an art full of regrets. Jiao Changqing used photos full of design creativity, design elements and thoughts and feelings to prove that the essence of a good photo is hidden in structure, details and meaning.
