Origin of "Shangri-La"

The word "Shangri-La" originates from the Kingdom of Shambhala in the Tibetan scriptures. In the history of the development of Tibetan Buddhism, it has always been the highest place of the Pure King. It is widely mentioned as a realm, and in modern vocabulary it is synonymous with "Garden of Eden, Utopia, Utopia, and Utopia". According to Tibetan scriptures, it is said that there is a "Kingdom of Shambhala" in a mysterious place on the snowy plateau, where there are snow-capped mountains, canyons, forests, meadows, lakes, gold mines, and pure air. The residents of Shambhala believe in the highest wisdom of Buddhism in dealing with life, so they are peaceful and harmonious.

For centuries, explorers from all over the world have searched for Shangri-La all over the world regardless of regional, ethnic, skin color or gender, leaving behind many confusing stories. Therefore, Shangri-La has become increasingly mysterious. .

Alexandria David Niel was a famous French orientalist, sinologist, explorer and Tibetologist in the 20th century. Her book "A Parisian Woman's Adventures in Lhasa" is considered to be her most valuable and famous work. The book describes her magical experiences during her expedition into Tibet. People speculate that David Neal encountered Shangri-La in time and space.

In 1933, British writer James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon" was published in London, England. Since then, "Shangri-La" has been pursued by the world, just like pursuing a gold mine. At that time, the "British Dictionary" stated that one of the book's achievements was the creation of the word "Utopia" in the English vocabulary.

The ethnic minorities in the Greater Shangri-La area have formed the concept of loving and respecting nature in the long history, forming a harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and a peaceful coexistence of multiple ethnic groups and religions. This kind of social development model, inclusive mind and broad-minded spirit make it possible that although there are many ethnic groups and religions in this land, various religions can promote their own teachings and live in harmony.
