Hometown Book Series 11: Kejia Old House, Jiuguqi Village Worth Seeing

Kejia's old house is located in Jinhe Village, Mugang Town. This Jinhe Village was originally called Jinhe, because there were two natural bays: Jinguidun and Hezishu. Later, when the two bays were combined, they were named Jinhe. Originally, there were two surnames: Ke and He. Later, the population of Ke was increasing, and the population of He was scattered, so it slowly moved out. The village is at the southern foot of Mubu Mountain, and a perennial river runs through the village. This river is called Jinhe.

Go south from Mugang Street, and go inside along the winding village road. After about half an hour's journey, this road passes through a small hill. This hill is called Jinguidun. There is an ancient tomb named He here. The cemetery is very large and the tombstone is beautifully carved. This golden turtle mound was originally a feng shui treasure mountain of Ke's surname, but why did it let the ancestors of He be buried here? There is a widely spread story that the ancestors of Ho invited the master of Feng Shui to see it, fell in love with this blessed land, and wanted to be their own cemetery, but people surnamed Ke refused. He talked to his descendants face to face, and every night at midnight, he dug a hole near his home's field near the golden turtle pier, which led to the underground of the golden turtle pier. This hole is very hidden, usually covered by bushes. On the night of his death, his family picked several loads of fried peas and fell down from the hole. On the day of the funeral, I chose a fake cemetery and made a road sacrifice at the edge of the hole where the golden turtle pier was left unlocked. When carrying the coffin, the descendants of He pretended not to be careful, and the coffin slipped down. The hole was covered with fried peas, and the coffin slipped down and soon disappeared. Everyone is talking about it, saying it's an act of god, otherwise how could it just fall into the hole? In this way, the ancestors of Ho made a cemetery here. Every time in Tomb-Sweeping Day, descendants of Ho will come to Ke's old house to pay their respects.

We came to the village committee of Jinhe Village. In front of the village committee, there are two "sister flowers" of maple poplar trees which are over 4 years old. According to the villagers, there are hundreds of such trees in the village, mainly osmanthus trees, Cinnamomum camphora and Pterocarya stenoptera, which were planted by ancestors when they immigrated from Jiangxi.

The Kejia old house is the best preserved ancient residence in Jinhe. Kejia old house is now the location of Jinhe Primary School. It is now a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, covering an area of more than 3,5 square meters, and is a typical Huizhou-style residential building. At the gate, there are four Chinese characters "double-handed and beautiful", and there are painted beams and carved buildings in the house. It is said that there are 36 patios, which is the leading rich family in the local area at that time. Due to years of disrepair, many roofs have collapsed. This time, taking advantage of the east wind of precision poverty alleviation, Yangxin county government listed Kejia old house, Guoshifu and Kanjia old house as one of the top ten practical things of the government in 216, and the old houses are about to be renovated. There is an ancient well in the southeast of the old house, surrounded by stones, and a large bluestone is pressed at the wellhead. The well water is clear and unfathomable. It was originally a special drinking well for Kejia's old house.

Go along the southeast direction of He Zishu, and the end of the cement road is the dirt road going up the mountain. There is a newly renovated reservoir of about 5 mu lying here. On the water, waterfowl are flying around happily. The mountains on both sides are all Chinese fir forests planted in recent years, which are lush. Walking through a ravine, an ancient pavilion stands here. The villagers who traveled with us told us that this road was the only way for merchants from the old Xingguo to travel to and from Jiangxi. The pavilion was for people to take a nap, which was called the ancient tea-horse road in the ancient Xingguo. In the pavilion, there are three stone tablets embedded in the wall. Only by reading the records can we know that the pavilion was built in the fifth year of Qianlong, overhauled once in the eleventh year of Tongzhi, and finally repaired by local people in the thirty-sixth year of the Republic of China. Walking from Kejia's old house to Guting, there is an old wine shop in the middle, and a huge word "wine" on the wall comes into view, which is powerful and powerful. I think, in the past years, along this ancient tea-horse road, there were merchants or literati stopping here all the year round, giving wine and poetry.

In the Bianwu Formation, there is an ancient Qingshiqiao, which is obscure and hidden among trees. According to the old people, this bridge has a history of about 3 years. The whole stone bridge is made of blue stones, without any adhesive. The largest stone weighs a ton, and it still stands after the wind and rain. You have to admire the architectural wisdom of ancient craftsmen.

Just opposite Kejia's old house is a hill that is not too high. In the past, there was an ancient bunker, commanding the traffic at the foot of the mountain, which can be described as "and while one man guards it and ten thousand cannot force it". Now there are only ruins and some rubble. In 1934, the famous Battle of He Zishu took place here. According to historical records, in order to restore the lost Soviet area, the Southeast Hubei Road Committee and the North Road Command organized the Battle of Mushigang in February 1934. The campaign was divided into three stages: first, the enemy of He Zishu was destroyed; second, Hutianfan was attacked; third, Mushi Port was jointly attacked. Yuan Fengming commanded Ke Xing's North Jiangxi Division and Shi Daqi's Longhurui Guerrilla Brigade, and cooperated with the Red Third Division to attack He Zishu's enemy first. This battle is very difficult. In order to blow up more than a dozen enemy bunkers, Yuan Fengming took the lead in commanding commandos. When I was about to enter the village, I was unfortunately seriously injured. More than 1 martyrs are buried here.

in the northeast corner of shangshaping natural bay, there is an ancient adobe house, which was used by people in ancient times to extract rapeseed oil and sesame oil. There is a stone roller that weighs more than 5 kilograms and needs a strong ox to pull it. People sit on the stone mill car, shouting at the old cow, and walk around. The mill grinds rapeseed, sesame seeds and tea seeds into powder, steam them, and then make oil cakes, which are arranged neatly in the belly of the oil press. Wedges are next to the oil cakes. Two or three people swing their heads together, shout their trumpets, and slam the wedges in hard, and the oil is squeezed out. This ancient method of oil extraction makes the cooking oil original and delicious. Now, wood oil pressing is rare, but it is still well preserved here. Next year, with the help of the east wind of precision poverty alleviation, ancient workshop bases will be built here: oil press workshop, oil noodle workshop, passbook powder workshop, etc. Soon, a traditional agricultural product processing experience workshop will spring up here. In front of the ancient workshop is a half-moon lotus pond, and there is a huge maple tree beside the lotus pond, such as the golden lion king's anger in the wind. There is a mountain on the other side of the lotus pond, where many centuries-old ancient camphor trees grow. Here, a hiking trail will be built in the future and become a base for Yangxin photography and sketching.

Ancient roads, ancient pavilions, ancient bridges, ancient wells, ancient trees, ancient houses, ancient tombs, ancient workshops, and ancient battlefields can be summarized as "Jiugu". These "ancient" resources are all gathered in Jinhe Village, and they have become an antique Jiuguqi Village.

as the sun sets, bridges flow and ancient roads are westerly. At present, the golden river in Kejia's old house is flowing endlessly. Looking back at the hill on one side, there is a scenery like a beautiful woman in a scarf lying in the arms of the mountains, with jade arms, jade breasts and jade legs, which are so lifelike that people call them "jade girls show off." Think about it, this Ke family's old house is like a woman staying in a boudoir, waiting for you to lift her mysterious and beautiful veil.

Kejia's old house, a Jiuguqi village worth seeing, is quietly waiting for your visit.

at home on the evening of January 29th, 216.
