1. First, pour linseed oil into a beaker and preheat it on the stove to 100~ 120 degrees, without stopping.

2. Weigh lead monoxide and add it to the preheated linseed oil. Note that there is a possibility that lead oxide on the market is caked, and it is best to grind it with a mortar.

3. Heat flaxseed oil to 285℃ with low fire, keep heating at this temperature for 3~4 hours, and keep stirring during heating.

4. Let the heated linseed oil stand and cool, and then filter it with gauze for several times.

Matters needing attention

The whole process should be completed in a ventilated environment, and masks and gloves should be worn when necessary to prevent poisoning.

Finally, I still want to say a few things about black oil. First of all, black oil itself is a kind of cooked oil. Although it was used by many ancient masters, it turns out that it is not the perfect blending agent at present, or even at that time, and its disadvantages such as greasy yellowing are well known. Sun-drying heavy oil in ancient times and spreading oil today are superior to black oil in essence, but that's only because some people in China are ignorant. In addition, the cooked oils sold in China, such as Windsor and Hite brand, are not much different in use, although the production process is slightly different from that in ancient times. Although materials play a very important role in the birth of a masterpiece, what really determines is the artist's own talent and technology. Good materials may improve the quality of the artist's works or make painting easier, but it doesn't mean that the painting is not good enough. If you want to feel the production process, you can try to make it yourself, but if you just want to use it, just buy the cooked oil on the market. Some hundreds of bottles are not much better than more than a dozen bottles of industrial products except burning money.
