Why do some photographers require no one to accompany them?

Especially personal photos of girls. If you want to bring a girlfriend, it doesn't matter. Shooting men are always so hostile, distrustful and uncomfortable to photographers. I like to have a girlfriend with me and a woman as an assistant to avoid unpleasant things.
