What is a reflector?

Question 1: What is the reflector used for in photography? What's the role? Reflecting plate: the main function is to eliminate the shadow of dark parts, such as chin; Nose shadow. It should be located on the side of the camera, diagonally opposite to the main light source, and the reflected light hits the subject. Reflectors can be made by themselves, such as those sold, silvery white, gold and silver, and are usually foldable. When you make it yourself, you can use white polyurethane foam board, you can use it directly, or you can paste aluminum foil.

Question 2: What is the reflector used for in photography? What's the role? The "reverse" of SLR refers to the reflector inside the camera. The image reaches the mirror through the lens, and most of the light reaches the Wuling mirror after 90 reflection. After several refractions and rotations of 180 in Wuling mirror, it turns to 90 to reach the viewfinder eyepiece. The image seen by a SLR camera in the viewfinder is a positive optical image, and the final imaging effect is almost the same as that seen in the viewfinder. Another small part of the light reaches the metering element and the auxiliary photosensitive element through the reflector, so that when the real-time viewing wrench is pulled, the digital SLR camera can also view through the LCD screen. When the shutter button of the camera is pressed, the reflector rises, at the same time, the aperture shrinks, the front curtain of the shutter opens, and all the image light reaches the photosensitive element without reflection. When the shutter time is completed, the shutter Hou Lian is closed to cut off the light, and the mirror falls down to reset, reflecting the light 90 degrees to the Wuling mirror again.

Question 3: What is the function of reflector? For example, your subject's face is dark when backlighting. You can use a reflector to reflect backlighting to the subject's face, so it won't be dark.

Question 4: What is the function and principle of reflector? Reflecting plate;

There are reflective plates for photography and reflective plates for photography, which have different concepts and use effects;

Photography-The camera takes a still picture, and only when the light is insufficient, the reflector is used to reflect only a limited range of light to people or objects, so that the shooting effect will not encounter the conditions of weak light such as mosaic, virtual focus and darkness. The reflector is also made of purple-gold wave or mirror type.

Camera shooting-generally, when shooting movies and TV series (even using a DV now), reflectors are often used, and others should be used together with soft cloth and lighting. Because the person or thing being photographed is dynamic, the reflector chosen is not a mirror for photography, but' Mipolo' (with clean foam board), so that the shooting effect will not be obviously reflected by the reflector, and it looks natural because of Mipolo.

Why do you want to combine light with soft cloth? I need another explanation for this problem! But your problem is "reflector"!

Question 5: What does the reflector mean? Literally.

Question 6: What is the reflector in the camera and what is its function? The reflector is located between the lens and the sensor.

When not shooting, the light emitted by the lens is reflected to the eyepiece for viewing the visual range.

When shooting, lift it up and let the sensor feel the light.

And then generate an image.

Question 7: What is the reflector in the camera? What is its function? A reflector can be understood as a mirror. Its function is to reflect the light incident from the lens into the pentaprism, and then image it in the optical viewfinder for the photographer to observe the object with his eyes.

Question 8: What kind of reflector is better? There are four kinds of mirrors commonly used in photography ―― white mirror, silver mirror, gold mirror and black mirror. Occasionally, a soft light board or "gauze curtain" is used. We can't generally say which reflector is good and which is not. Different reflectors have different uses, so our most commonly used reflector may be the best reflector you need. The role of different types of reflectors White reflector: The light reflected by the white reflector is very fine. Because its reflective performance is not very strong, the effect is soft and natural. When you need a little light, use this reflector to fill in the details in the shadow. This situation is often used when using similar window lighting, which can make the shadow part more detailed. Silver reflector: Because the silver reflector is bright and smooth as a mirror. It can produce brighter light. Silver reflector is the most commonly used reflector. The effect of this reflector is easily reflected in the eyes of the subject, thus producing large and bright eye light. When the weather is cloudy and the light mainly comes from above the head of the subject, put it directly under the subject's face, so that it is just out of the camera's field of vision, and reflect the light from the top to the subject's face. Under cloudy light conditions, the white reflector does not have such a strong effect. Gold reflector: use gold reflector to fill the light in the sun. Like a silver reflector, it reflects light like a smooth mirror, but in contrast to a cold-tuned silver reflector, it produces light with a warmer hue. Gold reflector is a common main light. Take a portrait with backlight in bright sunshine, and reflect the light to the subject's face from the side and a little higher. This reflector has two functions: first, it can get directional light that can shine on the subject's face, and it can also increase the exposure of the subject's face for one block; Second, it can reduce the exposure difference from the background to the foreground, so that the background will not be seriously overexposed. Black reflector: This reflector is different because technically, it is not a reflector. But a "dimming plate" or a "light absorption plate". Other reflectors are used according to the method of adding lights, in order to add lights to the scene. The black reflector is used to reduce the amount of light by dimming. Why use a black reflector? For various reasons, we often have to shoot with annoying overhead lights. The face photographed by this kind of light often produces "raccoon eyes". By putting a black reflector on your subject's head, you can reduce the light at the top. Soft light board: it can block and weaken the light between sunlight or light and the object or person being photographed, make the light soft and reduce the contrast. It can be used when the light is strong and you don't want to change the shooting angle and lose the background, or when the light becomes soft to reduce the projection of the subject.

Question 9: What does the reflector of SLR camera do? The light first reaches the reflector through the lens, then reflects to the eyepiece through the pentaprism, and then reaches the photographer's eyes. At the moment when the shutter is pressed, the mirror is lifted, the light shines on the photosensitive original to complete the exposure, and then the mirror quickly descends to its original position.

Question 10: What can be used to replace the reflector? When shooting indoor scenes, the reflector is a common light supplement accessory, which can reduce the contrast of the subject and achieve a brighter effect. But ordinary photographers rarely buy such accessories. In fact, there are some household items that can act as reflectors in their home life.

1. Fabric category: white sheets, curtains, clothes.

1, white sheets, clothes and other props are transparent. Although the light hitting them can really reflect the light, the reflected light is bound to be less than the original light, and the intensity of supplementary light is less. If you want to slightly enhance the light supplement effect by reducing the light transmittance, you can choose a dense sheet or cloth curtain.

2. If a friend or family member is wearing white at the scene, you can also let him stand in the right position to play a role when you need a temporary reflector. When shooting portraits, the white clothes on the subject can also slightly reduce the shadow feeling at the chin and slow down the contrast between light and shadow.

Second, the mirror: small cosmetic mirror, big dressing mirror.

1, light reflection principle, also known as "specular reflection", as the name implies, a mirror can always reflect light, whether it is a liquid mirror (water, lake, etc. ) or a solid mirror. The mirror surface available for indoor photography can be a real "mirror". According to the size and area, different usage methods can be converted. For example, a small cosmetic mirror is suitable for taking small objects, and it may be better to take portraits with a large-area mirror such as a full-length mirror.

2. The mirror can sometimes be integrated into the shot. On the one hand, as a shooting prop in the hands of the subject, on the other hand, it plays a role in filling the light. In addition, when shooting small objects or ornaments, you can also put the objects on the mirror to create a reflection effect and increase the atmosphere of the picture.

Stationery: white cardboard, books, notebooks.

1. Compared with textiles and mirrors, stationery props seem to be easier to obtain. Generally speaking, the density of paper is higher than that of cloth, and its reflective ability is slightly stronger. However, there are many kinds of paper materials, such as paper with smooth feel, paper with more uniform reflection and rough texture, which reflects more loosely and may hit the subject with less light.

2. Books or notebooks, as props for fill light shooting, can be used in a wider range of shooting subjects than small cosmetic mirrors, and are good props for shooting children, models, relatives and friends. When shooting, observe the direction of the main light source and adjust the posture of the subject holding or placing books. White cardboard can not only be used as a reflector alone, but also be DIY as a reflector on a flash.

Four, kitchen category: aluminum foil paper, fresh-keeping box cover.

1. There are generally three kinds of reflectors: white reflector, silver reflector and gold reflector. The most common reflector is the white reflector, but the gold reflector and the silver reflector have stronger light supplement effect. Due to the bright metal material, the reflection effect is stronger than white, and the light reflected by gold is warmer than silver. Usually, when using an oven or barbecue outside, the commonly used aluminum foil paper can actually be made into a silver reflector. Remember to crumple the aluminum foil paper before use, and then spread it out, so that the reflected light will be more natural and soft.

2. There is also a white plastic fresh-keeping box cover, which can be used as a reflector in kitchen supplies and can play a role similar to white cardboard, but it feels more durable and better preserved because of its different thickness and toughness, and you don't have to worry about folding when carrying it. You can also DIY it into a reflector on the top of a flash.

Five, difficult to move: white walls, ceilings, large furniture.

Compared with the props in front, the white wall and ceiling are indeed immovable "big props", but if they are matched with external flashlights and movable lamps, they can also play a good role in filling light in indoor shooting.
