Surveying and mapping science and technology and geophysics rank first in China, and they are both national key disciplines of "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Engineering". There are four doctoral programs in geodesy and surveying engineering, photogrammetry and remote sensing, cartography and geographic information engineering, and solid geophysics.
