The Historical Evolution of Luyi County

During the Xia and Shang Dynasties, there was a small vassal state (now Taiqinggong Town, Luyi County) called "Li", which belonged to Yuzhou. This is the beginning of the county in Lu Yi, with a history of more than 4,000 years. This setup continued until the Western Zhou Dynasty.

In 770 BC, Zhou Pingwang moved the capital to Luoyi, and the history entered the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Harmony (now Xinji Town, Luyi County), which used to judge people by their appearances, belongs to the State of Chen in Yuzhou. In 57 1 year BC, in July of forty-two years (478 BC), King Hui of Chu destroyed Chen, suffering from Chu. During the Qin Dynasty, Ku County belonged to the State of Chen in Yuzhou. In the Western Han Dynasty, Ku County belonged to Huaiyang Prefecture of Yanzhou. Xin Mang period, bitter to Lai Ling, Guangwu Jianwu first year (AD 25) to Lai Ling, restore the bitter county. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Emperor Xiaoming changed his father Yang to Guyang, which belonged to Chenliu County.

Sui and Guyang belong to Qiao County, Yuzhou. In the 16th year (AD 596), it was changed to Wuping, and Shi Jian Town moved to Huaiyang County. In the 13th year of Daye (AD 6 17), the farmer Juntian Heishe occupied Lu Yi and changed Lu Yi to Wozhou.

In the third year of Tang Wude (AD 620), Tianhe Society was defeated and Wozhou was renamed. In the Song Dynasty, in the seventh year of Dazhong Xiangfu (A.D. 10 14), Weizhen and Lu Yi were both under the jurisdiction of Bozhou, Huainan East Road.

In the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1265), Lu Yi and Weizhen counties merged and were named Lu Yi. The county seat is located in this county and belongs to Bozhou, Guiding Province, Jiangbei Province, Henan Province. Since then, the county name has remained unchanged, and the territory has not changed much since the late Qing Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Lu Yi belonged to Guide.

During the Republic of China, it successively belonged to Kaifeng, Shangqiu and Huaiyang.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the administrative subordination and administrative divisions of Luyi County have undergone several major changes and adjustments. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Luyi County was successively subordinate to Huaiyang, Shangqiu, Kaifeng and Zhoukou. June 1968 belongs to Zhoukou area.
