Chen Hao, born in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province in 1955, has been living and growing up in Haining. When he was a child, he studied calligraphy and painting under the guidance of his grandfather, Mr. Chen Yaoshan, but it didn't last long. After ten years of civil strife, 13-year-old Chen Hao was robbed and lost his right to go to school. He had to go to Luban's door for seven years. After wielding an axe, he still loved to learn books and exercise in Linchi. By 1981, Chen Hao's calligraphy works won the first prize in the first national "Spring Bud Award" art, calligraphy and photography competition held in Taiyuan, and then his works were selected for national exhibitions and international exchange exhibitions for many years and won prizes.

After the downfall of the Gang of Four, Chen Hao was given a chance to be rehabilitated and corrected, and was given a formal job. Due to the local influence of calligraphy, in 1983, Chen Hao took to the pulpit to teach calligraphy in Haining No.1 Middle School, and later transferred to Haining Normal School as a full-time calligraphy teacher. During this period, he was elected as director of Zhejiang Calligraphy Association, director of Zhejiang Calligraphy Education Research Association, director of Zhejiang Youth Calligraphy Association, president of Ziwei Printing Society and member of Jiaxing CPPCC in Zhejiang Province.
