How to make good use of the positioning image of CT?

CT positioning image is a digital photographic image scanned at the beginning of CT examination, which is used by CT technicians to position cross-sectional scanning. It is different from the transverse scanning image of CT, and is similar to the X-ray plain film of the examined part, on which the positioning line corresponding to the scanning plane can be seen. Besides positioning, positioning images can also provide other important information. For example, the localization image can reflect the approximate anatomical position of some lesions, and combined with ct cross-sectional images, it is not only beneficial to comprehensively reflect the image manifestations of lesions, but also to accurately locate lesions. Because the combination of localization image and CT cross-sectional image provides a three-dimensional anatomical relationship between lesions and adjacent structures, it is especially beneficial for clinicians to locate surgery and radiotherapy.
