Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, referred to as "Lu Mei", is located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. It is the only multi-disciplinary and multi-academic art school in Northeast China, one of the eight national fine arts colleges, and a key construction university of first-class universities in Liaoning Province. The school has been rated as the national college students' cultural quality education base, the red classic art education demonstration base in colleges and universities, and the China literature and art public opinion information research base of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Pioneering Information School was founded by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and others. Its predecessor was 1938, which was built in Lu Xun Art College in Yan 'an. 1945, Lu Yi moved to Yanan in the northeast. 1958 developed into Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.

The school has two campuses, Shenyang and Dalian, with a total campus area of 957,662.94 square meters, a library building area of 10887 square meters and a collection of 592,073 books. There are 17 teaching units and 16 undergraduate majors. There are 856 teachers and 7967 students, including 7 135 undergraduates, 507 postgraduates and 20 international students.
