Shooting skills of packaging box
The simplest and most common packaging material is paper packaging. Regardless of the content, according to the material, cartons are simply divided into non-reflective, foggy (semi-reflective) and bright (total reflection). In addition to paying attention to the reflection of surface materials, the most important thing is to create an overall three-dimensional sense, and finally consider the background color to be synthesized. In general, white background is used for printed matter. In addition, the carton is rectangular, and any angle not in front will form a perspective. It's just that the top cover of the carton package must be exposed, but the box should be kept as wide as usual, and ordinary lenses can't be used, otherwise it will produce perspective. It is most suitable for shooting boxes or cans that are not perspective but keep parallel. If the studio hasn't bought a PC lens, you can shoot with a telephoto lens in a far place, because the greater the perspective produced by the shooting distance, the farther the viewing distance can reduce the deformation of the perspective.
Lighting principle
Cartons will change greatly with the characteristics of packaging. For example, the color of the medicine carton is relatively light, and the surface will not be completely bright. Cosmetic cartons will be packed with shiny copper plates, but they are very different from cosmetics. For example, perfume will be more gorgeous at night, so look and shiny materials should be used. Outdoor sun protection, white or light color, bright surface design. General skin care products will be dominated by light colors. If the price is high, use a lot of hot gold or silver, plus bright treatment. English black tea, on the other hand, will be designed by alternating shades, but most of them are based on non-reflective base paper. Therefore, in order to avoid unnecessary reflection of various materials, it is either overhead shooting or placed on a black to white top.
Gradient paper to make the reflected light look natural or invisible.
Main lighting is based on the principle of single light source, and usually one lamp can handle it well. The main light with a slightly larger area can take care of both the information surface and the top cover. The overall exposure is mainly based on the information side. The so-called information side is the main picture that customers want consumers to see. This main information is usually the brightest or second brightest surface, and the top cover part is usually kept at the brightest or when the area is small, showing the second brightness. The left and right adjacent surfaces of the main message are the darkest, so it is usually reflected by the reflector.
If you encounter bronzing or silver lettering, it will be more difficult. For the total reflection characteristics of gold lettering, you need to give a gradual reflection. In other words, the light itself needs to be graded, and it must be reflected on the golden characters, so that the golden characters can shine, which is both graded and recognizable.
Shooting skills of metal packaging box
Metal gift box is a kind of product packaging box, because it is a highly reflective product, so it is difficult to shoot. It is necessary to keep the metal packaging box clean in the early stage of shooting, pay attention to cleaning the ash tip on the surface of the metal packaging box, and wear gloves when touching the packaging box to prevent fingerprints from sticking to the metal packaging box, which can save a lot of unnecessary troubles in the later stage.
Metal packaging box should not only reflect the three-dimensional sense of the box itself, but also its texture is very important. If you shoot according to the ordinary product method, it is more difficult and you can't get the desired effect. There are two main points in shooting this kind of products. The first is to adopt proper enclosure, that is, to adopt closed lighting. The second is to use a suitable shooting table. For highly reflective products, if we use the usual shooting table, it is easy to reflect unnecessary elements to the upper surface of the shooting table, so we need to find a suitable shooting table. Generally, for highly reflective products, we use a three-dimensional column smaller than the product to support the product, and the size of the supporting body should be less than or equal to the bottom of the product.
The above-mentioned light distribution method is closed light distribution, that is to say, up, down, left and right, if directly illuminated by light, it will lose the meaning of enclosure, so it should be surrounded by soft glossy paper or butter paper bag products, leaving only the position of the phase lens, which can not only prevent the product from reflecting to other unnecessary elements, but also make the light have a gradual effect and make the metal packaging box feel stronger. It should be noted that the lights on the left and right sides must be inclined. Only in this way can we achieve a gradual effect. The principle of this method is as follows. The specific lighting position needs to be adjusted slowly by yourself. You can turn on a light to shoot first, and gradually understand the function and problems of each light before you can shoot a good film.
