What about Wu Yongkui, the first-class hero?
The reporter's testimony:
When writing about him, people still think that he is a controversial figure. However, his deeds and command style touched me. His deeds have been published in more than ten newspapers, radio stations and magazines, such as People's Liberation Army Daily, China Youth Daily and china national radio. It soon caused vibration in the front line and played a very good role in promoting the whole battlefield.
Won the first class, and Vice Yang personally awarded him a gold medal.
In Wu Yongkui's manuscript, the operational thought of "emphasizing battlefield benefits" was put forward for the first time, which became a powerful spiritual force for frontline soldiers to defeat the enemy and quickly became popular in Laoshan battlefield.
A young officer who emphasizes the effectiveness of the battlefield.
-Remember Wu Yongkui, the frontline commander of Laoshan?
Economic construction stresses efficiency, especially on the battlefield. -Wu Yongkui's words
He, a thin man, is only 1.68 meters tall, but he has the unique qualities of contemporary soldiers. He was the first to put forward the operational thought of emphasizing the battlefield benefit. He, a small company commander who changed jobs outside the company, stands out with his excellent command art and is famous in Laoshan battlefield. The 7th Company of the Hammer Regiment under his command engaged the Vietnamese army 1 16 times, resisted the bombardment of more than 4,500 enemy shells, killed more than 50 enemies and wounded a large number, and no one in the whole company died. He commanded the battle without using more than one battalion of artillery, gave full play to the effectiveness of the weapons in his hand, and flexibly explored and used 14 tactics, achieving great results with little consumption and creating a miracle in the battlefield of Laoshan.
His name is Wu Yongkui, a young commander with modern wisdom and courage, "the nemesis of Vietnamese devils."
"Give the soldiers a tactical mind"
At night, it was dark. Somewhere in the front line of Laoshan Mountain, it was raining cats and dogs, thunder burst, and lightning tore the sky like black goose down. Lightning shone on the jagged ring fortifications and angry soldiers.
"Lure the enemy deep, and the artillery will cooperate!" In the night, a thin young officer commanded with a crisp and short voice.
He is Wu Yongkui, who is directing the company to defend the divisions at night under special weather conditions, counterattack the Vietnamese army, and strengthen the actual combat assessment drills of the infantry company.
Wu Yongkui 1957 was born in a poor peasant family in Xuanhan County, Sichuan Province. 1976 enlisted, 1978 joined the Xi Army Academy of China People's Liberation Army in September. His family was poor, and he developed his self-improvement and enterprising character. While studying at school, he greedily absorbed the nutrition of knowledge and read a lot of military books. All kinds of new military information in the world enriched and enriched his mind. From then on, he was determined to make a difference in the army. The troops should carry out defensive operations against Vietnam, and the superiors repeatedly stressed the need to realize the operational thinking of the Central Military Commission in exchange for great victories at a small cost. Wu Yongkui has special considerations in mind.
Their opponents are a group of militaristic war veterans who have fought for decades. To deal with these guys, we should not only pay attention to the art of command, but also need well-trained soldiers. Wu Yongkui reread the War on War, Sun Tzu's Art of War, Thirty-six Strategies, Mao Zedong's Military Papers, Liu Bocheng's Records of the Use of Soldiers and other military works. He studied the Middle East, Falklands, Iran-Iraq War and Vietnam War, and wrote nearly 200,000 words of military notes.
Wu Yongkui and instructor Bu often lurk to the front to learn about the enemy.
At the party branch meeting, he put forward a bold training plan: "Starting from basic training, we will set up difficult training courses in mountain jungle operations, and practice all the' eighteen martial arts' so that everyone in the company can understand tactics, cooperate and skillfully use all kinds of guns in the company ..." He excitedly slammed his fist on the table and said, "Let Vietnamese devils taste the power of China soldiers!"
An unprecedented training upsurge in the history of the Seventh Company has been formed. Information such as the Vietnam Army's war history, equipment, and operational characteristics is constantly injected into the brain cells of every cadre soldier. Scrambling, fighting, heavy cross-country; Day and night, sweating, mud and sand, the little soldier who was spoiled by his mother yesterday has become a tough guy today.
Wu Yongkui said: "Cadres should pay attention to strategy and give soldiers a tactical mind; Soldiers without tactical brains are not good soldiers, at least not soldiers in the 1980s! "He forced his soldiers.
Newly dug trenches, sentries and cat's ear holes appeared on a hillside covered with dense jungle. This is a special training ground carefully designed by Wu Yongkui. He divided the three platoons into three training units, and practiced offensive and defensive confrontation in turn to exercise their tactical intelligence. I can't see my fingers for a night, and the three rows and seven whistles serving as defenses are heavily guarded and ready for battle. But nothing happened until one o'clock in the morning. "What's wrong with Zhang Xupeng!" The acting platoon leader got impatient and blamed his opponent. At one o'clock, there was a "rustling" sound in front of the position 100 meters, and Duan ordered all posts to prepare for the battle!
Half an hour passed, but the front of the position was calm, and Duan wondered. By the time he found something, a dozen "Vietnamese troops" had touched the front of the position, and he was caught off guard and finally embarrassed. If the reserve team hadn't rescued them in time, they would have let the "Vietnamese army" outflank them. Duan felt very uncomfortable. He swore "revenge!" Organize the squad leader and vice squad leader to study new tactics.
On the evening of May 22, a reinforced platoon of the Vietnamese army launched an attack on the position of the Seventh Company. Wu Yongkui (first from right) calmly responded to the enemy and commanded the battle.
It was another dark night. Wu Yongkui specially strengthened two classes for a platoon. Zhang Xupeng racked his brains, organized the two strengthened classes into eight groups and attacked the second platoon on all fronts. At the same time, I used the three classes I mastered to sneak attack the second platoon in four waves, but I was defeated by the second platoon every time. Zhang Xupeng saw that he was invincible and had to retreat to camp.
The training of offensive and defensive confrontation in the platoon came to an end, and Wu Yongkui pulled the troops to camp in the mountains and forests. He built individual bunker fortifications with different facilities on six hills, and laid out two rows, one for each mountain. It is stipulated that a soldier will guard the mountain for one day and one night, and a platoon will play the role of Vietnamese army for sneak attack, and each shift will rotate once a week. He ordered the soldiers guarding the mountain to take only a pot of water and a day's dry food, and find a way to eat, live, hide and beat themselves. In order to train the soldiers' potential auditory discrimination, he also bought seven dogs of different sizes from ordinary people and put them in different positions at night for soldiers to identify and judge.
At first, a soldier stood alone on the mountain. At night, the strange sounds of animals, the flashing light of fireflies and the swishing sound of leaves when blowing are enough to make these soldiers creepy. At any time, they are in danger of being attacked by "Vietnamese agents" and taken away in sacks. "The company commander wants to scare us to death!" Some soldiers complained about Wu Yongkui. "Don't practice how to deal with cunning enemies!" Most soldiers understand the company commander's good intentions. Once or twice, slowly, these little soldiers learned to survive, fight and deal with all kinds of complicated situations in the mountain jungle; I learned to cook with hats and clothes.
Hard adaptive training has made the soldiers of the Seventh Company smart and tough. On this night's assessment, the regiment let an infantry company and a spy company sneak attack and storm the seventh company, but the tactics were exhausted and they won many battles. The deputy teacher in charge of supervision and assessment punched Wu Yongkui in the chest and boasted, "Young man, you are really good!" He hugged Wu Yongkui and asked the photographer to take a colorful group photo. This is a great praise for a grass-roots commander!
Wu Yongkui ordered not to shoot, and several shells made the Vietnamese army flee.
"Consumption is not equal to victory"
Some people say: "Our military strength is strong, and employing people will also drag down the Vietnamese army."
Wu Yongkui said angrily, "Nonsense! A soldier is a mother's heart. You can't take a soldier's life as a bargaining chip! "
Some people think that we have powerful artillery, several times the enemy's shells, and rich material strength. With these advantages, we can be invincible.
Wu Yongkui firmly opposes this view: "Economic construction pays attention to efficiency, especially on the battlefield. Shells are made by the people with blood and sweat, and every shot must hit the most useful place! " He said: "After all, this is a war that modern soldiers are engaged in. Win with wisdom, win with less consumption, and win with elite soldiers; Study teaching materials and examples, and jump out to explore your own new path. Then, knowing ourselves and knowing ourselves is the guiding ideology and basic practice of our operations. "
He warned his soldiers: "the spirit of' two fears' should be carried forward forever, and it is by no means a hero to fight hard;" Defeating the enemy requires courage, courage and military skills, and more importantly, wisdom. We are fighting a defensive war, and equating consumption with results is not victory! " He gave the soldiers a formula: "Consumption ≠ Victory." Let the soldiers always remember to win great results with little consumption and little cost.
Wu Yongkui has a principle in using troops: don't fight if the enemy's situation is unknown; If you can fight, don't fight; Fight hard if necessary. Because he is good at fighting, the sentry and bunker on the position of the Seventh Company are rarely exposed, and the Vietnamese army has never been able to ascertain the real situation on their position. So the Vietnamese army mobilized troops to deal with the Seventh Company, and with the cooperation of artillery fire, agents frequently dispatched. On the contrary, it provided Wu Yongkui with an opportunity to play tricks on the enemy. He wrote an article on highland clothes, stipulating that Highland A should take ten clothes outside the trench during the day, Highland B should take thirty clothes, and Highland C should take two clothes ..... and make adjustments every two days. This suspicious plan made the enemy even more confused about the real strength of the seventh company.
Wu Yongkui secretly taught the tactics of encircling Vietnamese troops attacking at night.
On April 29, the Vietnamese army attacked the position of the Seventh Company with a small force. Zhang Xupeng, the head of Highland A position, reported that the impact of canned food continued to appear about 200 meters in front of the position, and Wu Yongkui immediately realized the enemy's attempt. He ordered Zhang Xupeng to prepare enough grenades, pay attention to the changes in the enemy situation ahead, focus on monitoring the two wings, and closely guard the rear; Take the tactics of luring the enemy with silence and beating the dog behind closed doors.
As Wu Yongkui had expected, the Vietnamese army had surrounded Highland A from two wings, and at the same time, they were canning in front of our military positions to create an illusion. 50 meters, 40 meters, 30 meters, a highland without any movement. When all the enemies entered my shooting target, Wu Yongkui grabbed the phone and calmly ordered: "After the artillery squad is broken, take the machine gun first and hit the heart with grenades!" "Fire!" The cannonball exploded accurately in the enemy group and quickly blocked the enemy's retreat. "fight!" When the shell exploded, the machine gun fired first, and grenades rained down on the enemy group. This sudden blow made the enemy messy, and the enemy who broke through strayed into our minefield. Gunfire, grenades, mine explosions and the cries of the enemy suddenly became one, and the enemy group was bloody.
When the Vietnamese army failed to make a plan, it made another plan, and on May 6, it played the trick of "introducing the east to the west". The enemy attacked Highland A with artillery fire under the illusion peculiar to ordinary people to attract my attention. At this time, the report of Highland B found that Wu Yongkui saw through the enemy's attempt to divide Highland B, control the commanding heights and directly win Highland A.. He followed suit and ordered the artillery squad to shoot at Highland A. The sound of guns in Highland A increased the courage of the Vietnamese army to attack Highland B. When the enemy was imagining a sneak attack, Wu Yongkui ordered the artillery squad to adjust the muzzle and violently shell Highland B.. As soon as the hateful shells blossomed in the enemy group, many enemies were killed before they could react. The enemy suffered another shameful defeat.
In the early morning of May 15, the Vietnamese army launched a surprise attack on Highland A with a reinforced platoon. A highland was ablaze with rubble flying everywhere, many fortifications were blown up and all telephone lines were blown off. The situation is very urgent. Zhang Xupeng, the commander of the position, called Wu Yongkui by radio, saying that they were surrounded by the enemy. The enemy strengthened the platoon's troops and asked to cover Highland A with artillery fire.
"What are you panicking about!" Wu Yongkui, who has always been famous for his calm command, lost his temper. "What strengthen platoon, the enemy at most two classes, it's not a big deal! I support you with artillery fire! " He ordered Zhang Xupeng to leave only a few backbones to observe on the ground, while others went into the hole to prevent guns.
In fact, Wu Yongkui knew very well that the enemy attacking Highland A had at least one reinforced platoon. However, when the enemy artillery is bombarded indiscriminately and the position is tense, measures must be taken to ease their emotions. He believes that his soldiers can defeat the enemy.
His action was really effective, and Zhang Xupeng calmed down in the anger of the company commander. He only left seven battle backbones in the position, and adopted tactics such as direct shooting, oblique shooting, cross shooting and changing battle positions back and forth to destroy the enemy in the movement. The enemy couldn't catch the target and was passively beaten everywhere. The battle lasted for three hours and twenty minutes, but the Vietnamese army did not take advantage. Instead, 16 people were killed or injured. Seven soldiers defeated a reinforced platoon of the Vietnamese army, creating a typical battle example of winning more with less on the battlefield of Laoshan.
In the battle, Wu Yongkui and the soldiers used clear springs to quench their thirst.
"Management is benefit"
Wu Yongkui said: "A company commander on the battlefield should be responsible for the prestige of the country, the company, the parents of the soldiers and the lives of the soldiers." He reminded the class leaders: "Casualties on the battlefield are inevitable, but they also depend on the quality and command and management level of the troops. Soldiers with proper command, management and planning can reduce consumption and casualties, avoid unnecessary sacrifices and produce benefits.
One morning, after a night of fierce fighting, the position was just calm and foggy. In the company's command post, Wu Yongkui's bloodshot eyes sparkled. He talked about the past and the present, compared vertically and horizontally, and explained to the squad leaders the importance and principles of battlefield discipline and management. From the perspective of military psychology, he divided defensive operations into three stages: initial stage, middle stage and late stage. In view of the psychological characteristics of the troops in these three stages, such as nervousness, paralysis, impatience, etc., he formulated the "Code for the Management of Class Platoons" and "Detailed Rules for the Management of Positions" in each stage, which made specific norms for the company's operations, life, and personnel flow. He also put forward a plan to transform and add anti-gun fortifications.
"Soldiers in the 1980s were literate and thoughtful. We should not rely on pressure to enforce these regulations. It is necessary to inspire the soldiers' thoughts and let them understand why they should do this and understand the important role of consciously observing discipline and management regulations on the battlefield. " He pointed out to the platoon leaders of these classes, "Scientific and strict management is combat effectiveness and battlefield benefits! "
According to the regulations of each post, the discipline discussion began. Wu Yongkui put forward fifteen whys in a row. The soldiers were all thinking, and everyone expressed his opinion. Finally, they came to the same conclusion-"system and discipline are the support of life and the victory of the battle!" Wu Yongkui smiled with satisfaction.
All the fortifications of the company, the reinforcement and the renovation. Wu Yongkui plans one after another. He made a careful safety inspection of each structural point, and then crossed it, so that everyone could construct in the designated area to prevent lightning damage. In a short period of one month, they built more than 40 fortifications and 15 fortifications, and built the largest anti-artillery fortifications on the ground, which can resist the direct attack of Vietnamese 160 artillery.
The position of the seventh company is impregnable, and with effective management, the whole position is unusually quiet during the day, and few people move. It looks like an impenetrable mystery and a mysterious atmosphere.
Wu Yongkui sometimes gets angry.
On one occasion, Zhu Lise, the squad leader of the Seventh High-speed Machine Company, quietly passed by several gun addicts and was found by Wu Yongkui, who immediately tracked them down. Julius lied that the gun went off, so Wu Yongkui closed the gun safety and pulled the trigger, saying, "How can a gun with no safety be off?" Zhu Xiao saw that the bag couldn't hold, so he replied smoothly, "Didn't you just shoot?" What's the big deal about shooting a few bullets on the battlefield! ""How many bullets? Do you know how much a bullet costs? This is the blood and sweat of the people! "Wu Yongkui's face flushed and his eyes seemed to blink." What if you hurt someone? "Random shooting is letting the enemy shell the target! Do you understand! " Zhu Lisha saw that the humorous company commander was so angry today. She knew she was wrong and bowed her head in shame. The next day, Wu Yongkui talked to him, and tears rolled out of his eyes and said, "Company commander, I was wrong!" "
On another occasion, Zhao, a new soldier of Class Six, took advantage of the opportunity to move things down the mountain and bought a bottle of white wine. Wu Yongkui saw it and asked, "How much is this bottle of wine?" "Three yuan and fifty cents." The soldier replied. He immediately took out three yuan and fifty cents from his pocket and gave it to the soldier. Then he took the wine and said, "drinking is not allowed in the specified position, and drinking is easy to make big mistakes;" I can't drink this wine, and neither should you. " He broke the bottle in front of the soldiers. The story spread from one word to ten, from ten to one hundred, and soon spread all over the company. The company commander has a mountain of discipline, who dares to be a little sloppy?
With strict discipline, scientific management and excellent quality, Qilian is like a machine with good technical performance. Company 100 people are scattered in nearly 100 posts, but they are integrated. Wu Yongkui is the center of this organism. Every tiny situation on the position, every shot and lens can be keenly reflected here in Wu Yongkui; Every determination and intention of his can be carried out timely and accurately in all posts. His concept of battlefield benefit has obviously increased in value. The positions are heavily mined, and the Vietnamese artillery fire is often indiscriminate. Cold shots and cold guns kept coming, and the Vietnamese army frequently attacked and succeeded in sneak attack. No one was killed or injured in the seventh company position. Only more than 720 machine bombs, thousands of grenades and a small number of six o shells were consumed, realizing his idea of small consumption and great achievements. The soldiers were very happy and really admired the company commander's extraordinary courage and superb command ability. "It is enough to boost national prestige and promote military prestige. Don't embarrass our soldiers in the 1980 s!" Wu Yongkui's heart has also been greatly satisfied and comforted.
