It's not just Xiangshan that appreciates the red leaves. There is a top ten red leaf viewing area in Hebei, which many tourists have never heard of.

When it comes to enjoying red leaves, many people's first reaction is Xiangshan, but there is a place in Hebei where there are red leaves.

Not worse than Xiangshan, it is the Xiantai Mountain Forest Park in Jingxing.

Xiantai Mountain in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province is one of the largest red leaf viewing areas in northern China and one of the top ten red leaf viewing areas in China. Entering the cold dew solar term, with the continuous drop of temperature, the leaves of more than a dozen tree species such as Cotinus coggygria and maple in Xiantai Mountain gradually turned red, ushered in the most beautiful time of the year. It is estimated that the best viewing period of red leaves in Xiantai Mountain will last until the first half of June 165438+ 10.

Every September and October, boxwood and maple trees in the mountains and plains of Xiantai Mountain turn red one after another, and the color is like a flame, like a sunset glow reflecting the mountains. The red leaves in Xiantai Mountain have an ornamental area of nearly 66 square kilometers. It is reported that the red leaves of Xiantai Mountain are 20 times larger than those of Xiangshan Mountain in Beijing.

From the valley to the mountainside, from the mountainside to the top of the mountain, from this mountain to that mountain, the forest is dyed. Tourists walk through the red leaves and stroll through them, which makes people feel relaxed and happy and linger.

When I came to the main peak of Xiantai Mountain, the path was very narrow, hidden among the trees, with mountains on one side and valleys on the other. Walking on the path at the top of the mountain, my vision suddenly widened. Looking around, mountains are everywhere. If I am careful, I will find yellow, purple and green hidden inside, which is really beautiful.

In addition to enjoying the red leaves, you can also visit the natural scenery and places of interest such as peaks, forests, caves and canyons in Xiantai Mountain. It is breezy in the valley, and you can climb stairs, but you can listen to the sea and waves, and the sound is pleasant. Along the way, there are landscapes such as Longdong and Silongfeng, which can be described as five steps and one color, ten steps and one scene. Climbing to the top of the valley, you can see the Taihang Mountains.

There are dozens of caves in Xiantai Mountain, large and small, among which Liu Xiudong is the most spectacular. According to legend, at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang chased Liu Xiu and hid in this cave to escape. After Liu Xiu became the founding emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, later people called him Liu Xiudong.
