Why do photographers love to come to Mutianyu Great Wall all year round?

Mutianyu Great Wall, 73 kilometers away from Beijing, has enjoyed the unique reputation of Wan Li Great Wall and Mutianyu since ancient times, winding for 5,400 meters. It is the longest Great Wall in China and the most typical Great Wall in Ming Dynasty. The Mutianyu Great Wall in early November is infinitely vast, with high altitude and far vision.

Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou County in the northeast corner of Beijing. It is connected to Juyongguan, Changping County, Beijing in the west and Gubeikou, Miyun County, Beijing in the east. Since ancient times, it has been a military stronghold to defend Beijing, and it is known as the "Dangerous Ridge and Xiongguan". As early as 1400 years ago during the Northern Qi Dynasty, Mutianyu built the Great Wall. Rebuilt in the early Ming Dynasty, Tian Mu Valley Pass was built in the second year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1404). In the third year of Qin Long (A.D. 1569), when Tan Lun and Qi Jiguang were guarding Gyeonggi, they repaired it on the basis of the Great Wall in the early Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall preserved and restored in Mutianyu, which we see now, was built in Ming Dynasty, and it is also the best preserved Great Wall site in Ming Dynasty.

The geographical location of Mutianyu is very important, and there have been many wars here. Among them, the most famous are several wars in the Ming Dynasty, and Xu Da and Yuan Bing also fought here in the early Ming Dynasty. Mutianyu Great Wall is mostly built on steep cliffs outside, relying on the mountain to take advantage of the situation to control Eritrea. The wall is seven or eight meters high and four or five meters wide at the top. The building materials are mainly granite, which is majestic and solid. Mutianyu Great Wall has low battlements on both sides of the wall top, which can repel the enemy on both sides, and there is a horse pit on the outside, which makes the defense function more perfect. This is a major feature.

Mutianyu Great Wall starts from the left side of Zhengguantai, turns over with the mountain, and rushes to the distance. The Great Wall extends from the mountainside to the top of the mountain. After erecting an enemy tower on the mountainside, it suddenly descended, turned down to the mountainside, and suddenly rose again. It is more than 940 meters above sea level, and it is surrounded by a big bend, shaped like a horn, vigorous and powerful. People call it "the horn edge". The Great Wall continues to extend from the "edge of Niu Jiao" and passes a place called "Jiankou", which is a mountain peak with an altitude of1.044m, with steep sides.

The Great Wall, which looks spectacular now, has lost its function when it was first built. However, in the era of cold weapons, it is the most effective protection against foreign enemies. According to local people, the Great Wall was built mainly to resist the fighters of Mongolian soldiers. The closed sides of Mutianyu Great Wall rise along the ridge and turn over with the mountain. The crenels in these areas are not rectangular, but serrated. The shooting hole is built under the crib. It is not a round hole, but a square hole with an arc top. There is also a battery in a dangerous place. Mutianyu Great Wall also has a "sub-city". The so-called "supporting the city" means building a section of the Great Wall along the mountain ridge where there are high ridges inside and outside the Great Wall, with a length ranging from several meters to tens of meters, and building an enemy tower here, which the locals call "knife tower". When the Mutianyu Great Wall was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, cribs were built on both sides of the top of the wall, and a new rolling stone mine cave was set up to attack and defend.

Standing on the watchtower, overlooking the misty Great Wall, with the twists and turns of the mountain, it has been extended to the sky, and the autumn nearby is becoming more and more intense. Mutianyu Great Wall is different from other places, and it is a favorite place for photographers, because there are different beautiful scenery in spring, summer and autumn, and you can shoot large-scale scenic films belonging to Mutianyu.

On both sides of the Mutianyu Great Wall, there is a section of the Great Wall called "Eagle flying backwards". The walls are all built on bare cliffs. Most of the slopes of the Great Wall are about 50 degrees, and one section is close to 90 degrees, almost vertical, and the steps are only a few feet wide. Warriors who like challenges can walk here and experience it.
