What are the light level types of photographic light sources?

Light levels include smooth light, front side light, omnidirectional light, side backlight, backlight, top light, bottom light and so on.

Split light: also known as front light, its light projection direction is consistent with the camera lens shooting direction. Less shadows, no perspective and weak texture.

Front light: the light projection is located in front of the left or right side of the camera, forming obvious light receiving surface, backlight surface and projection, with moderate light ratio and strong three-dimensional sense.

Omnidirectional light: Also known as positive side light (negative sunlight), the projection direction of light forms an angle of about 90 with the main optical axis of camera lens. Super stereoscopic effect, large contrast between light and shade.

1, Guang Shun: Also known as frontal light, its light projection direction is consistent with the shooting direction of the camera lens. Less shadows, weak three-dimensional sense, no sense of perspective, weak texture and soft tone, which can hide the unevenness and wrinkles on the surface of the subject.

2. Front light: the light projection is located in front of the left or right side of the camera, forming obvious light receiving surface, backlight surface and projection, with moderate light ratio and strong three-dimensional sense.

3. Omni-directional light: also known as positive side light (negative sunlight), the projection direction of light forms an angle of about 90 with the main optical axis of the camera lens. It is used when the stereoscopic effect is super strong, the contrast between light and dark is large, and the edge contour has strong stereoscopic effect.

4. Side backlight: Also called back light, the light is projected on the left or right rear of the subject, forming an included angle of about135 with the main optical axis of the camera lens. It can better express the aesthetic feeling and three-dimensional sense of the main outline and enhance the sense of space of the picture.

5. Backlight: Backlight is a kind of light coming from behind the subject, facing the camera lens. It is often used to shoot silhouette effect, and can also be used as profile light or when shooting translucent objects.
