Why is k2 in Jiucailing in Hunan Province?

The birthplace of Du Pangling Yao nationality? Hunan? K2? Jiucailing attracts more and more mountain friends.

The birthplace of Yao culture,

Jiucailing, one of the top ten non-famous mountains in China,

Let's look at the doorway.

Brief introduction of Jiucailing

The five ridges are swaying, and Wumeng is majestic. ,

From the poem? Wuling? It has been a magnificent military fortress since ancient times.

Today, the five mountains are still five mountains, but one of them has gradually gathered the attention of the majority of mountaineering enthusiasts. Its main peak is called? K2 in Hunan? It not only has a well-protected natural environment, but also breeds a long-standing Yao culture. It is the main peak of Dupangling. Jiucailing

Jiucailing is famous for its unique hiking route.

Jiucailing is 2009 meters above sea level, located in the west of Daoxian County at the junction of Hunan and Guangxi.

It is famous for its high-intensity hiking route, and its unique charm consists of mountain scenery and ethnic customs.

Because of this, in 2009, chinese national geography magazine selected Jiucailing as the top ten in China? Unnamed peak? First of all, more mountain friends came here to embrace Shan Ye and challenge themselves.

Jiucailing intersection

It usually takes two days to cross Jiucailing, which is more suitable for mountain friends who have preliminary outdoor experience in Hunan, Guangxi or Guangdong to finish it on weekends. Because of the difficulty of crossing the route of Jiucailing, it is also called? Hunan Shanyou's hiking graduation class. .

Jiucailing is shrouded in mist.

Shan Ye style? There is a large area of virgin forest in the west foot of Jiucailing, which has unique scenery, but it also means that hiking intensity is high and road conditions are complicated. In the process of reaching the summit, we not only have to climb the rugged forest mountain road, but also wade through streams and steep ridges several times.

How many times do you have to cross the stream on the way to climb the mountain?

After the summit, steep slopes, rocks, dense forests and slippery roads set many obstacles on the way home. However, while being abused, Shanyou can also enjoy Shan Ye's gift: the stream along the way provides Shanyou with clean and rich water.

The stream along the way is also a gift from Shan Ye.

As the name implies, leeks are born on leek ridges. Picking a handful of leeks as food after the summit is really a good reward for your journey.

When you get to the top of the mountain, you can find wild leeks to taste.

Yao's hometown? Qian Jiadong, which is adjacent to Jiucailing, is considered as the birthplace of Yao nationality and a sacred place for Yao people to worship their ancestors all over the world. Qian Jiadong consists of three basins. The forests in the basin are lush and the mountains are grotesque. Among them, there are streams, waterfalls and caves, and many Yao historical sites are preserved. Natural scenery and cultural heritage are intertwined, which is of great tourism value.

A brief description of the route

There are four entrances and exits through Jiucailing: Dajiangyuan, Yueyan Forest Farm, Shidaojiang and Kongshuyan.

Mountain friends can freely choose the up and down direction.

This paper will introduce the classic route starting from the source of Dajiangyuan, passing through forty-eight steps, Qian Jiadong and Jiucailing, and finally descending to Yueyan Forest Farm.

Mountain friends can also choose to wear it backwards, which is relatively more difficult. There are also some mountain friends to choose from? Dajiangyuan? Ten rivers? Or a route in the opposite direction. The route from Kongshuyan to the mountain is very difficult, and few people choose it.

A detailed description of the route

Known as K2 in Hunan, Jiucailing, one of the top ten unnamed peaks in China, has a classic crossing route of only 18km, but its intensity is not small. During the period, it was not only hiking, but also going upstream, crossing streams and even climbing mountains. Entering Shan Ye, the leeks on the top of the leek hill are waiting for the mountain friends to taste the flavor.

Prepare before departure? After arriving at Daoxian Railway Station, you can charter a car directly to Dajiangyuan Village at an altitude of 480 meters, stay in Dajiangyuan Village for one night, and start hiking the next day.

The pastoral scenery of dajiangyuan village.

First day? Dajiangyuan Village (478 meters)? Forty-eight steps (1626m)? Strange impact (1686m)? A hole in a thousand holes (1788m). The whole journey is about 8 kilometers, with the highest altitude of 1788 meters and the lowest altitude of 478 meters. Accumulated climbing is about 13 10 meter, and the walking time is 7-8 hours.

The road map for the first day.

After breakfast, follow the village stream and come to the mountain forest behind the village. When you leave the village, you will meet a fork in the road. Take the right road. Next, there are red stripes along the way. According to the guidance of red stripes, you can follow the obvious path.

Wild tea trees enter the mountain pass.

From dajiangyuan village to no.48, you need to cross five streams. If the water level of the stream is high in rainy season, you need to wade across the stream. After the first stream, the mountain road becomes steep, and you will see a boulder in the second stream, so you need to bypass the boulder from left to right. Then enter a fir forest and start climbing in the forest, during which you will pass a fork in the road and take the middle direction.

The road is littered with gravel, and the mountain road is gradually steep and easy to slip. Shanyou needs to be careful. Mountain climbing consumes physical strength, so mountain friends should distribute their physical strength reasonably.

Gravel is scattered, so be careful when passing by.

Walking along the forest mountain road, you will see a canal halfway up the mountain, cross the wooden bridge on the canal to the other side, go on, and soon you will reach two streams. After crossing these two streams, you will enter a bamboo forest and start climbing again.

This kind of climbing is accompanied by the rise of altitude, and it is also very tiring. There is a narrow and slippery road in the process of climbing. Walking on it, there is a slope on the left and a stone wall on the right, so you need to be especially careful.

Be careful when walking on narrow and slippery roads.

Further on, the mountain friends will see a water pipe flowing out of the clear spring on the roadside, which is the water supply point for hiking friends to quench their thirst.

Replenish the water, and then go through a barrier, and you will reach forty-eight steps. The altitude here has reached 1645 meters, and it is an open gravel beach where you can have lunch or have a short rest.

Forty-eight clean water pools.

After the rest, follow the right side of the river and go upstream. Because there will be several small waterfalls in this journey, you need to wade across the stream many times to change sides. Mountain friends should be especially careful to avoid falling down due to slippery or spraining due to rock cracks.

Be careful where you step when wading across the river.

Next, it will pass through strange rush, which is an abandoned mining area, leaving only large and small mines and used machine parts. This section of the road has no obvious path, so it needs to go upstream and along the river. Mountain friends should pay attention to the debris under their feet.

Strangely rushed to the abandoned mining area, and the mine hole was visible.

After the monster rushed through, he saw the waterfall, the upstream part ended, and the next road was hidden in the trees turning right. If you identify it carefully, you can find that the branches are tied with guide strips. After going up from here, you will see a big waterfall, so take the road on the left.

Strangely rushed to the last waterfall.

After the great waterfall, it is a gravel road with a great slope, and after a pass, it goes down to a forest. After passing through the Woods and a bush, we arrived at an alpine meadow, which is the next hole among thousands of holes.

This cave among thousands of caves is an excellent camping ground.

The three caves in Qian Jiadong are three open basins, and the middle cave and the upper cave can be reached along the obvious meadow path. There is a ruin in the Middle East, which is the site of the Yao people's homestead, and a stream meanders through Shandong.

After years of wind and frost, the ruins of Yao folk houses in the Middle East are ruined.

Mountain friends usually choose to camp in the Middle East or Shandong. Because there are free-range cattle in the Middle East, it may affect the rest of mountain friends. It is suggested to camp in Shandong for the night, and return to the Middle East to the summit of Jiucailing the next day.

Traveling in Qian Jiadong Basin, the peaks on both sides gradually slow down.

The next day? Thousands of holes in the cave (1788m)? Jiucailing (2009 meters)? Clear pear garden (450m). The whole journey is about 10 km, with the highest elevation of 2009 meters and the lowest elevation of 750 meters, with a cumulative increase of 750 meters and a cumulative decrease of 1670 meters. All-day hiking time is 9- 10 hour.

The road map for the next day.

The next day's trip was more difficult than the first day. Starting from the ruins of Yao people's homes in the center of Qiandong, walk along the path next to the house to a stream, continue walking along the stream and turn left at the fork in the road.

Thousands of caves began to camp.

Climb over a hill along an obvious path and finally reach the ridge of Jiucailing. The ridge path is narrow and uneven, with dense shrubs on both sides. In addition, it is foggy in the morning and the road is slippery. Mountain friends should pay special attention to the road under their feet to prevent falling or slipping.

The clouds in Jiuling are thin and endless.

Climb all the way along the ridge, and finally you can climb to the top of leek ridge. From May to July, on the top of the mountain, wild leeks flourish. Shanyou can pick wild leeks on the spot and cook a unique delicacy with eggs. After the rest, they will go back to a pass on the ridge from the top of the mountain and go down the mountain along the path at the pass.

At the top of Jiucailing Mountain, wild leeks and meadows are mixed together.

The downhill road is steep and strong, especially the first rock slope. Mountain friends should try to lower their center of gravity and descend cautiously.

Most of the next time, I went down the mountain along the stream. The rocks were rugged, the road was slippery, and there was a dense forest in the middle. During the period, I had to cross the stream several times, which was even worse than when I went up the mountain. Due to the complicated route down the mountain, mountain friends should always keep up with the team to prevent a person from getting lost.

Down the hill along the stream, the rocks are rugged.

When it descends to an altitude of about 650 meters, the slope gradually slows down. Go on, you will pass the log cabin in the forest farm, and soon you will reach the Qingliyuan monitoring station and see Yunxi Reservoir.

Shanyou can book a car in advance and meet the driver here.

At this point, the thrilling but wonderful trip to Leek Ridge came to a successful conclusion.

Finally, I have to say that environmental protection is particularly important in Shan Ye, especially among the ten non-major routes. Because many mountain friends will take this road, if everyone doesn't pay attention to environmental protection, there will be rubbish everywhere along the way and in the camp, leaving artificial wounds on the natural beauty.
