Maintenance method of digital camera
If it is stored for a long time, you should also choose a day with good weather, take out the camera, take off the lens protective cover, open the lens aperture, and put it in a dry and ventilated place where there is no direct sunlight to breathe. In the process of breathing, you should change the angle several times to relax all parts of the camera.
1, lens cleaning skills
Camera lens is a very precise part, and its surface is coated with anti-reflection coating. Be careful not to touch it directly, because it will stick with oil stains and fingerprints, which will do great harm to the coating and affect the quality of photos taken by digital cameras.
After the camera is used, the lens will be more or less stained with dust. The best way is to blow it off with a balloon or gently brush it off with a soft brush. If you can't blow it off or brush it off, gently wipe it with a special lens cloth or lens paper, but remember a principle, don't wipe the lens unless you have to. Never use soft paper such as paper towels to clean the lens. These papers all contain wood pulp, which scratches the coating easily. Carelessness will seriously damage the fragile coating on the camera lens. Before wiping, make sure that there are no visible dust particles on the surface to avoid dust particles rubbing the lens. When wiping, gently wipe in the same direction, and don't rub it back and forth repeatedly to avoid rubbing the lens. If this still doesn't work, there are also special camera cleaning liquids on the market, but it should be noted that when using the cleaning liquid, you should wipe the lens with the cleaning liquid on the lens paper, and you can't drop the cleaning liquid directly on the lens.
In addition, never use other chemicals to wipe the lens at will, and only use cleaning liquid when it is very necessary. Usually pay attention to cover the lens cover and use the camera bag to reduce the cleaning times. Cleaning solution will still do harm to the lens, which may bring some wet problems.
2, memory card maintenance and maintenance
For digital photography, memory card plays a very important role in the process of photography. However, due to the simple use of memory cards, memory cards are often damaged due to careless use and handling by users.
The first principle of protecting the memory card is to always install and remove the memory card only when the digital camera is turned off. Users often make the mistake of taking the memory card out of the camera in a hurry. Although the power has been turned off, the storage speed of some cameras is slow, or it takes a long time for graphics files to be large. The camera may appear to be stopped, but in fact, the storage action is still in progress. At this point, if half of the files are damaged, the memory card may be permanently damaged. So I suggest you turn off the camera and wait for a while or pay attention to the fact that the camera's lights are completely turned off before taking out the memory card.
Secondly, don't format the memory card at will. When using the camera to format the memory card, pay attention to whether the camera has enough power. When using a computer to format a memory card, pay attention to choosing an accurate format. If you are using an operating system such as Windows XP, it should be noted that the default FAT32 format is incorrect when the system is formatted. Generally, digital cameras adopt FAT format.
At the same time, you need to pay attention to avoid using and storing the memory card in high temperature and high humidity environment, and don't put the memory card in high temperature and direct sunlight. Avoid physical injuries such as heavy pressure, bending, falling and impact, and stay away from static electricity, magnetic fields, liquids and corrosive substances. When taking out the memory card, please avoid touching the storage medium of the memory card. If the contact point of the memory card slot becomes dirty after long-term use, which makes it impossible to store and read information, you can blow it with compressed air and never wipe it with a small stick, otherwise it may cause more problems.
3. Long-term preservation of digital cameras
When the digital camera is not used for a long time, in addition to carefully cleaning the body, lens and other important parts according to the above tips, and making preparations for the maintenance and storage of all important parts, the camera should also be separated from the holster to avoid the moldy holster from affecting the camera. Parts such as shutter and self-timer that have been tightened on the camera should be loosened to prevent these mechanisms from being in fatigue for a long time. The lens aperture should be set at the maximum gear and the focusing distance should be set at infinity. If it is a camera with a dual focal length lens or a zoom lens, the extended lens should be retracted to its original position and then put into a storage container that can be kept dry.
4, the fuselage clean
During the use of digital cameras, attention should be paid to smoke and dust prevention. External pollution such as dust, dirt and oil fume will lead to the failure of the camera and even increase the inertia of the camera adjustment switch and knob. During use, the fuselage will inevitably be polluted by pollutants such as dust, dirt and lampblack, so special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the fuselage.
To clean the fuselage, you can use a rubber blowing ball to blow away the dust particles on the surface, and then drop 50% of the lens cleaning liquid on a soft cotton cloth to wipe it. When using rubber to blow the ball, pay attention to the fine seam of the fuselage is the key point of cleaning, and also pay attention to avoid liquid from infiltrating into the camera from the fine seam when wiping. Moreover, special attention is needed. Never use other chemicals easily. Many users will use chemicals, such as alcohol, which will corrode the surface of the fuselage.
Some users will use compressed air to blow away the dust in the gap of the fuselage, but compressed air will cause refrigeration effect when used, and even condense on the lens surface to form water vapor, so special attention should be paid when using compressed air. In addition, the cleaned camera should be placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight, and it can be used or stored after drying.
5, LCD protection
Color LCD screen is an important feature of digital camera, which is not only expensive, but also easy to be damaged, so it needs special protection during use. First of all, we should pay attention to avoid scratching the color LCD screen with hard objects. Some color LCD screens have protective films on their surfaces, and some don't. The color LCD screen without protective film is very fragile, and any scratch will leave traces. You can consider using the protective sticker used on the PDA screen, which has a certain effect on protecting the color LCD screen.
In addition, attention should be paid not to let the surface of the color LCD screen be squeezed by heavy objects, and special attention should be paid to avoid the damage of high temperature to the color LCD screen. As the temperature rises, the color LCD screen will turn black. After reaching a certain temperature, even if the temperature drops to a normal state, the color LCD screen cannot be restored. However, the brightness of some color liquid crystal displays will decrease with the decrease of temperature. When the temperature is quite low, the brightness of the LCD will be very low. Once the temperature rises, the brightness will automatically return to normal, which is a normal phenomenon.
In addition, there is a light behind the color LCD screen, which is invisible from the surface. If the image displayed on the color LCD is dark, or there are spots on the displayed image, or the image cannot be displayed at all, it is mostly caused by the aging of the light bulb. In this case, it is generally only necessary to replace the corresponding light bulb. If the surface of the color LCD screen is dirty, the cleaning method can refer to the method of cleaning the lens. After cleaning, dry it with a dry cotton cloth.
6, the influence of temperature on the camera
The working temperature of digital camera is strictly limited, so it is not suitable for shooting in cold and high temperature environment. The continuous high temperature will affect the adhesive that bonds the optical lens and other parts in the camera. In the cold environment, the camera is also prone to problems such as lubricant solidification, machine failure and battery efficiency reduction. Therefore, digital cameras should be far away from heat sources and cold sources, such as radiators and other heating or cooling equipment, cars scorched by the sun and so on.
In addition, if it is inevitable to be in the sun, you can use a colored but not dark towel or a tool with tin foil to block the sun. It is best to wrap the camera in a soft old towel with light color and no fluff, which is both breathable and sun-proof, and can also prevent earthquakes to a certain extent. If you want to shoot with a digital camera in a cold environment, you may need more power to start it at a low temperature, and the battery efficiency is low in a cold environment. You need to bring extra batteries, and pay attention to keep the battery temperature.
In addition, the sudden change of temperature is very harmful to the digital camera, especially when the camera is brought from low temperature to high temperature, which may not only lead to moisture or even short circuit due to condensation caused by temperature change, but also lead to some compression phenomenon inside the camera, which is not easy for naked eyes to see, but the camera has been damaged. If the digital camera has just been brought from a place with a large temperature difference, for example, from a cold outdoor to a warm indoor in winter and from a hot outdoor to an air-conditioned indoor in summer, it should be left for a period of time until the digital camera is slightly adapted to the temperature difference, otherwise it may fail to start.
7, digital camera waterproof and moistureproof
For digital cameras, humidity is one of the enemy. Humid environment will breed mold or rust spots on optical components such as camera lens and other camera components, while digital cameras are equipped with electrical equipment such as integrated circuits, which has a great impact on electrical equipment and will lead to serious problems such as the failure of electrical components of digital cameras.
If you must use a digital camera in a humid environment, you can consider buying a waterproof cover for the camera.
After using the digital camera in rainy days or hot and humid environment, you should wipe off the water droplets or water vapor attached to the camera surface with a clean and soft flannel in time, then blow off the fine seams of each part with a rubber ball, and put the camera in a dry and ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight. After drying, test whether the camera is faulty, and then put it in a sealed container for storage.
You can put some desiccant in the storage container, or you can buy a simple sealed moistureproof box. There are two kinds of desiccants: disposable and recyclable. The former will swell and crush after absorbing water, while the latter, the so-called sodium silicate moistureproof agent, is blue at first, and becomes pink after absorbing water. It can be dried in the sun, irradiated with a desk lamp or dried in a microwave oven, and then turned back to blue for use. If stored for a long time, sealed moistureproof box is a good container, and advanced electronic moistureproof box can also control the humidity. However, it should be noted that the lower the humidity in moistureproof box, the better. Generally speaking, the most suitable humidity for camera storage is about 40% ~ 50%. If the adjustment is too low, the lubricant on some parts of the digital camera may dry up.
8. Use and maintenance of batteries
Different from traditional cameras, digital cameras have a great demand for electricity. Therefore, lithium batteries and Ni-MH batteries, which can be reused and have a large amount of electricity, are increasingly welcomed by users of digital cameras. However, whether it is a lithium battery or a nickel-metal hydride battery, there are many places to pay attention to in the use, storage and carrying of various batteries.
Ni-MH battery has memory effect, which will reduce the total capacity and service life of the battery. As time goes on, the stored charge will be less and less, and the battery consumption will be faster and faster. Therefore, you should try to use up all the electricity before charging. If a dedicated lithium battery or lithium ion battery is used, there is no need to consider the memory effect.
In the process of daily use, attention should be paid to maintaining the integrity of the battery insulation. Once the damage is found, stick it with transparent tape. Check whether the electrode of the battery is oxidized, and wipe it clean with slight oxidation. However, if it is seriously oxidized or falls off, it should be replaced with a new battery immediately. At the same time, in order to avoid power loss, it is necessary to keep the contact points at both ends of the battery and the inside of the battery cover clean. If necessary, gently wipe the battery with a soft and clean dry cloth. Use a small eraser (such as the one on the pencil head) to reach into the battery box to clean the metal contacts, but never use solvent cleaners such as detergent.
In addition, when you plan not to use the digital camera for a long time, you must take the battery out of the digital camera or charger, fully discharge it, and then store it in a dry and cool environment. Don't store the battery with ordinary metal objects, which is especially important for non-rechargeable batteries.
