How was photography invented?
Daguerre was an artist when he was young. He liked painting very much. At that time, technology was not developed enough, and people wanted to write something down, so they could only leave good memories with the brush in their hands. But some things can't be recorded completely and truly by brush alone. People want to get more realistic images. The painter Daguerre is very interested in developing technology. He really wants to invent a device that can record scenery without brushes and pigments.
On one occasion, Daguerre put the spoon on the table after breakfast. After a while, when he tidied up the spoon, he found the shadow of the spoon on the metal plate on the table, which could not be wiped off. It suddenly occurred to him that this metal plate had been treated with silver iodide. In order to verify whether his inference is correct, he polished a metal plate again, coated it with silver iodide, and repeated the experiment just now. After a while, an image appeared as expected. Daguerre was very excited. He knew that he had discovered a new photosensitive material.
Daguerre was not satisfied with his immediate achievements, but continued to study. One day, due to lack of sunshine, Daguerre had to put the unexposed floor in the box. A few days later, when he was ready to take out the bottom plate for processing, he found that a clear image had appeared on it. What makes the image appear? There are some chemicals in the box with a bottom plate. Daguerre experimented and analyzed the drugs one by one, and finally found that mercury vapor made the image appear. Daguerre later discovered that in a darkroom, when the film was smoked with mercury vapor, the image would appear slowly. 1839, Daguerre made his technique known to the world, and people called it Daguerre photography.
Daguerre continued his in-depth research, combined the research results of other scientists in the development technology, and finally perfected the photography technology. Now photography is widely used in various fields. For some people, photography is an art form, but for millions of people, it is a hobby. Photos can convey real information, vividly reproduce the past and add fun to people's lives.
Photos can record many beautiful moments. When we use cameras to record beautiful scenery and good times, should we also remember the scientist who invented photography?
