The best time to shoot scenery and grasp the reflection

People often say: paint for painting, and light for photography. People who like photography pay attention to light. As we all know, the same person wears the same clothes and uses the same camera, and the shooting effect is definitely different in different environments, especially in the studio, because of the change of light. The photographer described in The Bridges of Madison County waited for several hours. What is he waiting for? Just wait for the light to come on.

I also posted more than 20 groups of nearly 200 pictures on my blog. Looking back at the P picture I took, as long as I feel a little better, the light plays a very important role. Among them, I feel a lot of bitterness and self-knowledge. Slowly, I began to be more sensitive to light, and I have been paying attention to the changes of light. For natural scenery shooting, I gradually formed my own preferred shooting time period.

In fact, I don't need to say that the best time to shoot the scenery is one night in the morning. Personally, my favorite shooting time is before 9 am and after 5 pm. At this time, the scenery is photographed, and the light is particularly charming and the light changes are particularly rich.

Please look at the following color temperature data: (The definitions of terms such as light and color temperature and related theoretical knowledge are not included here. )

2000 kilometers at sunrise and sunset

20 minutes after sunrise to 2 100k before sunset.

2400 K after sunrise, 30 minutes before sunset

2900 K after sunrise, 40 minutes before sunset

After sunrise and before sunset 1hr 4500 K.

3hr 5400 K after sunrise and before sunset.

The average daylight during the day is 5400K K k.

Take the current sunset time 18: 30 in Guangzhou as an example. The color temperature began to decrease from 15: 30, but the amplitude was not large. 17: 30 only decreased by 900K K. However, within an hour from 17: 30 to sunset, the color temperature dropped from 4500K to 2000K, with a change range of 2500 k.

That is to say, within an hour from sunset to sunset, the light in the sky changes from white blue to yellow or orange red, then to red, dark red, and finally to gray black. During this period of time, if you are lucky and encounter wonderful white clouds in the sky, the color temperature response is very different because the sky, white clouds and objects on the earth are irradiated by sunlight at different heights, which is what we often call layering. If you like shooting scenery, when the sky is so colorful, all you can do is take out your camera.

From nine o'clock in the morning to five o'clock in the afternoon, apart from the attraction of white clouds and blue sky to me, I can hardly feel the scenery at this time, perhaps because my skill is not enough.

Master the reflection, and make the things you shoot richer and more diverse.

For example, in the evening (when the sunset is not covered), wonderful white clouds appear high in the sky, and you will definitely photograph the sunset. Because the white clouds in the sky will reflect the red light (the color temperature is low at sunset) and the red earth (please see my humble work Sunset on the Pearl River, the Twilight Sky, Hanging Tomorrow's Brilliance and so on). ).

Another example is: the sunrise (sunset) light reflected from the water surface is very strong and often golden. Please read my books Sunset on the Pearl River, Golden Flower, Yunnan Yuanyang No.1, etc. ).

Another example: the reflection of the cloudy water surface is weak, which is a very good time to photograph the ripples in the water. Please read my book Black Swan.

Another example: under special geographical conditions, clouds are under the water surface of plateau terraces, and at this time (around 9 am), the water surface reflects the blue of the sky, which is particularly wonderful. Please read my book "Yunnan Yuanyang Terrace II".

Therefore, you must go out early and return late when shooting scenery, and you must stay there. Shooting rape flowers in Luoping, Yunnan, wasted a day and a half because it was cloudy and foggy. I have seen many sunrises by the Pearl River, but I haven't got them yet. In Daya Bay, I went astray and watched the sunset helplessly. This makes me think: to take a good picture of the scenery, you like waiting for the light best and hate waiting for the light most. Sometimes you can't wait for a few days, and what you wait for will definitely be difficult for others.

The above is my experience in grasping the best opportunity for landscape shooting and reflection. Please correct me a lot.
