What does camera mirroring mean?

The mirror image of a camera refers to the inverted image of the picture seen through the camera lens after reflection or refraction. This kind of picture is opposite to what the naked eye sees, and we also call it camera image. In photography terminology, "camera mirror image" usually refers to the photo preview screen presented by the camera during framing and shooting, that is, the photo preview that the user sees on the screen.

When shooting with a digital camera or a SLR camera, the mirror image of the camera is very important for checking the composition and adjusting the optical parameters. This is because the camera's framing and the preview picture during shooting can allow the photographer to better observe and adjust the composition, focus, exposure and other parameters of the picture, and finally get better shooting results. At the same time, the mirror image of the camera can also provide photographers with a more realistic picture, so that they can better grasp the composition of the subject.

In order to ensure the consistency between the preview and the final shooting results during framing and shooting, usually, photographers need to choose the mirror mode through camera settings. For most digital cameras or low-end SLR cameras, this setting is usually displayed as "live view", while for high-end SLR cameras, "mirror view" can be selected. No matter which mode is selected, it is to establish the mapping relationship between the camera mirror image and the final shooting result, and help the photographer to adjust the shooting parameters more quickly and accurately, so as to obtain the best shooting effect.
