Introduction of scenic spots
Geziwo Park (also known as Eagle Horn Park) is located in the northeast corner of Beidaihe Beach, adjacent to Binhai Avenue, and is one of the four major scenic spots in Beidaihe Scenic Area of Qinhuangdao City. Every spring and autumn, tens of thousands of rare migratory birds feed and inhabit here, becoming another new landscape. In the late 1990s, it was designated as a national bird nature reserve. Pigeon nest beach is a good place to observe modern coastal sediments, where you can see wave marks, raindrop marks, cracks, biological caves and other sedimentary structures. By comparing with the paleostrata in Liujiang basin, we can decipher a large number of mysteries of paleogeography, paleoenvironment and paleoclimate.
This beach in the north is equivalent to a triangular estuary. The tidal flat goes up, but the front is slightly narrow, so the tide can't disperse, and it pushes inland slowly and far.
(2) Yuanyang Lake
Yuanyang Lake used to be a low-lying beach, which was abandoned all the year round. Later, 1985 built a sea dam, and the high tide opened the gate to inject seawater. When the floodgate fell, a calm small lake was formed, named Yuanyang Lake. There is an island in the lake called lover island. Every summer, many young men and women in love are very much in love in the forest, full of romantic interest and elegant environment.
